I could never go back to work full time... I probably do more hours but it is for me, rather than some bloke who turns up to touch base etc.

i have my foot in both pies.
3 days a week at an agency, the rest of my time is freelance.
- mimeartist0
Its not your foot is it?
- rafalski0
Part-time does it. I work in-house 4 days/week, and am free to do freelance on the fifth, but also can rearrange the 5th days throughout the year as I please. This equals about 3 months of holidays if I take 5 days/week approach.

(Sep 27 07, 23:26)"No, I mainly work in actionsports and automotive.
Those guys have some nice stuff, that would be a nice place to do some work.
kensington is right down the street.

Yes, actually what raf mentioned is true. Part-time is much better. You don't kill yourself working at a desk all the time, and you can do your own thing for part of the week as well. I guess this isn't an option for you right now?

i would probably punch the creative director in the face after the first command if i had been working for myself for 4 years.
- mimeartist0
I thought you'd be more likely to slap him?

I agree with Kona
"weigh out the pros and cons then make your decision.
think about this though, if full-time doesn't pan out you already know you can make it freelance."
I am so tired of freelancing 'cause I have been inhouse at one place for 6 months - which isn't really "Free "- -but good money.
I wonder when I can just be there and not do anything -just llike in a real full time job -ha!

I made the switch almost a year ago. There's a lot of the office drama n crap you gotta deal with like dressing up and coming in on time ;) but damn, there aint nothing like regular pay and free healthcare!!!!
- edd-e0
i can charge more money for a freelance than you make in a whole year, and thats just 1 job.
free health care? dressing up? regular pay...HA!!
- Jaline0
lol, eddie.
Some people like that stuff. And I make more money than most of the people my age, so I'm good, thanks.
To be honest, I don't like dressing up everyday, but the dress style is just business casual --> formal. So you can fit yourself into whichever end of the spectrum you want to. If I wanted to spend my money on buying fashionable suits, I could, but I think I'll wait until I have a full-time job after I graduate. Same with getting up early. Most of the time you can set when you come in and leave, as long as you work the right amount of hours each week for your pay.I do realize that some businesses are not like this, but usually it isn't that bad. Office gossip can be stupid, but sometimes it's amusing.

super mech insect face giant heads comicbook cartoon fantasy robos taking over the world
i think that pretty much sums it up.
- edd-e0
what does it sum up for you? ive been stereotype on nt so much that its fuuny to hear your ignorance.
so tell me who am i?
oh and nooner...my website is for fun for me...its not my career or my job, i dont do websites to earn a living.
so why dont you go slap yourself a little more ignorance and keep stereotyping and it seems blissful for you!!
