I couldn't find one using the filter. Not one that was current so let's drop it all in here.
UFC 111 anounced GSP vs Dan Hardy and Frank Mir vs Shane Carwin.
I've gotta back GSP in this one, and I'm really liking Mir. He dumped all his trainers after his loss to Lesnar and is as fierce as ever. Carwin has the biggest mits in the UFC but he'll need more than that aginst Mir. This is for the iterim belt.
Lesnar however may be out for up to 2 years with an infection in his small intestine. This means whoever takes out the iterim belt, could possibly be waiting 2 years for a chance at the title.
Meanwhile I missed out on tickets to UFC 110 in Sydney. Pretty upset considering it's such an awesome fight card.

111 is sounding like a great card. Let's hope we don't see training injuries come into play like we saw for 108.
I think GSP takes this one easily, but I hope he does it in exciting fashion. I feel they should've tested Hardy against a strong wrestler like Fitch (or Kos) before they gave him the title shot, but it makes sense seeing as there is a lot of hype behind him right now.
The new Mir is looking really solid. I was very impressed with how he handled Kongo. I'm hoping for Carwin, but I feel Mir is going to take it if he comes in the same shape he was in for 107.
On a design related note, it bums me out that RED isn't doing microsites for every UFC event anymore. I used to really look forward to them. Good concepting and design all around. Anyone know what happened there?
- agreed. Fitch would have been a great matchup. Especially coming off his recent loss.baseline_shift

I have to say lately UFC has been having some great bouts. 108 had some incredible fights and the main card definitely delivered - although i was worried about a bit about Rashad in round 3 there.
All in all... UFC 111 sounds like pure win with the GSP vs Dan Hardy fight.
- the next several cards are gonna be stacked.baseline_shift

For those wondering what's going on with Brock Lesnar
- nosaj0
Great news on Brock Lesnar. He's a monster, the toughest in the UFC. It would be unfortunate if he had to step away from fighting, he's pretty much unbeatable.
- totally beatable. Hes just freakishly large and strong. His technique is weak. Carwins got his number.baseline_shift
- Carwin won't make it to Lesnar. Mir is going to destroy the both of them.Invalid

I like Hardy, he's tough. However, GSP's athleticism is just insane and the only way you're beating him is if you are better in Jujitsu and just happen to get him to the ground somehow. He's the all around fighter. I think he'll win by decision. I don't think Hardy will ever get a shot on. He's too slow for GSP.
I like Mir and all but I like him better as an announcer guy or whatever theyre called.
- second round ground and pound stoppage for GSP. Hardy is out of his league.baseline_shift
- I could see that too.fyoucher1

Mir announced today that hes cool and will be coming back to the ufc this summer. Hes gonna fight the winner of Carwin Mir.
GSP is gonna crush hardy. Its a travesty that they are giving this guy a title shot. Hes way out of his depth with GSP
I wouldnt count Carwin out. This is gonna be a really tough, close fight. Carwin is a lot stronger than Mir, and looked great in the last couple fights. Hes also a great wrestler, and that tends to be mirs weak point. Should be a great bout though.
And how about Couture v Coleman. Cant wait to see one old man beat the shit out of the slightly older man.
Marquardt and Sonnen is gonna be another great card on this fight.

Great place for MMA news.
Cant wait for Herschel Walkers strikeforce debut later this month.

couldn't agree more about Hardy being out of GSPs league. I'm thinking we may see something similar to the BJ Penn vs Diego Sanchez fight.
- I dont think we'll see hardy go 5 rounds. Def gonna get his ass kicked, though.baseline_shift

I think Couture vs Coleman is one of the worst card headliners in UFC's recent history. I'd disagree and say a lot of their recent events have really fell below par.. though you can't entirely fault them given the insane amount of consecutive injuries their top fighters suffered (including every single division's champion except BJ Penn!) That shit has really wreaked havoc on their roadmap for 2010 so far.
- yeah, agreed. Rough for late '09. Early '10 is lookin good though.baseline_shift
- and yeah, the Couture Coleman fight should have been a headliner 10 years ago.baseline_shift

i have to disagree about GSP v Hardy. GSPs athleticism is almost un matched, as well as being an extremely well rounded fighter. Hardy is no amature, but I'm not sure he'll be able to last more than 2 rounds against GSP.
Mir v Carwin will be another easy win for Mir. Carwin has really strong wrestling skills, but Mir is a real BJJ technician, and with his new physical conditioning, I dont think he'll lose.
Couture v Coleman, may present some suprises, but may also be a like watching 2 old men go at it. It seems the older they get, the more it starts to look like a boxing match.
UFC 110 is the first time in Sydney, so nearly every bout on that card is a crowd pleaser. Should be very entertaining.
- carwin is 11-0 w/ 6 TKOs & 5 Submissions. This will be the fight where people realize hes the real deal.baseline_shift

Couture vs Coleman:
Goes all 3 rounds. They will trade blows evenly for the first round and a half and after that they will both start to show their age. Couture may land a lucky shot after that but Coleman will probably have Randy reeling on occasion. Decision will goto Couture because let's face it, he's a legend and a favorite.- Will not speculate on others, although I am rooting for Marquardt and Swick.d_rek

Also, very excited to see Rolles Gracie fight in the prelimns.
