BTC broke out of it's upward trend even FURTHER to the upside, and now it's dumping back down, perhaps to get back in that same channel it was in. It rallied almost 20% just today before falling back down, which is a huge move for bitcoin.
Very cray. I've been sitting out. I've only ever bought altcoins anyway which are now dropping hard cause of this.

how much did/do you start with to get in on this? As little as, say, $100?
- Amount is irrelevant. But you will be charged fees so you want to at least make those seem small.monospaced
- fees for trading?Krassy
- only as much as you are willing to lose! it's very high risk obvi. but you can buy any amount of coin, even .00000001 BTC if you want. fees should be small.sarahfailin
- Yes. Fees for trading. Each purchase and sale has a fee attached.monospaced
- tnx dudesKrassy
- You also get charged when you take your cash out of your exchange account.zarkonite
- fees... hm... so basically its like bank?umbee54
- A bank with a $25 per transaction fee that takes a day to give you your money. (Based on like 2 year ago fees, may be different now)monNom
- All brokerages charge trading fees. For stocks etc it’s normal. Low fees are a big selling point. Nothing at all like a bank.monospaced

EOS just broke through a major support trendline and is biting it hard. 13.5% loss today so far and still falling!
- massive alt dumps. pretty nasty out there unless you're in btc. the tide should shift though.inteliboy

is Ethereum and Litecoin still good? I mostly have LTC and ETH, should I move all of it on something else?
- I'd definitely say its a good idea to hold some percentage of the top 3 or 4 technologies in the space as a hedge to bitcoin but BTC=market leader.ridg0026
- lol @ technologies ... it’s all blockchainmonospaced
- yup all blockchain. Is blockchain not technology?ridg0026
- is it a good idea to move some of my ETH and LTC in BTC now?Bennn
- i bought a chunk of ETH at a bit of a high and still way below even though BTC has jumped back up to/above par. Fingers crossed its just a little slowhardhat
- same here hardhatMilan
- It’s a technology. What are the other 3-4 of them?monospaced
- The only difference between one crypto and the next is the bros behind it and the name. It’s all one technology.monospaced
- ^patently false. mono again displays his ignorance.sarahfailin
- A good starting point to learn about the differences would be to compare Ethash v SHA-256. There are many other fundamental differences.zarkonite
- both identical with blockchain. Even though both are technically one way cryptographic hash function, the output blocks on a blockchain can be mined.monospaced
- Difference is in mining. To an investor there is no diffeeence but I’m happy to learn. Help me know thanks.monospaced
- You asked what other technologies there were. Well the hash is one. You could easily google the rest, you're conflating blockchain with other unique tech layerszarkonite
- I think someone else was. But okay.monospaced

Anna Ridler uses AI to turn 10,000 tulips into a video controlled by bitcoin
Anna Ridler is an artist whose work uses technology, in particular machine learning. Unlike many projects in that sphere, which are used to rehash new and remix existing ideas and visuals, Anna is not using AI simply because it’s available to her.
“I think about what it can do and how it can add to what I’m making,” the London-based artist tells us. “What are the associations and connotations of using it? How can all of these different things go in and help amplify or construct the message or the thing I’m interested in and make it conceptually stronger?” Having studied at UAL, the RCA and Oxford, Anna is a considered artist whose work is posing fascinating questions about how technology will integrate into our lives in future, while reminding us of the human behind every piece of tech.

I hope for a correction here, down to ~9k and then sideways action for a few months
If we top at 30k, 50% over last ATH, it will be the dumbest bull run ever
- Any new ATH x1.5-5 times the previous one will be a sign of weakness, BTC is approaching its absolute limit. The real bear market will follow and last for yearsdrgs
- Hold hands with me and pray for 250k in 2020drgs
- Why should it be 250k? Why even at these levels? What does Bitcoin offer really? Still just a speculation vehicle and not much real payments/ transactions doneNBQ00
- People have been asking the same question for 10 yearsdrgs
- Why were beanie babies selling for hundreds of dollars once? Same reason.monospaced
- I can agree with you, but the point here is to be the one selling beanie babies for hundreds of dollars, and not the one buying themdrgs
- that isn't an argument :)monospaced
- there is good chance we are going to 9k or even below within the next week or two, this could be a good entry for you to get into Bitcoindrgs
- since you have shown so much interest, you clearly want todrgs
- Interest in it, sure. Interest in "investing" in it? No thanks. I prefer real investments.monospaced
- By that, I just mean i like to invest in entities that have a sort of business plan and prospectus. An educated investment, you might say.monospaced

And back in 9k's

I think we can go straight to 8k, but I'm already happy we are under 10k
I have my beer, energy drinks, BTC live feed on the big TV, next year I'm inviting people over to watch the big drop -- this is better than sports
Let's catch that big knife
