Tether <> Bitcoin.
https://www.coindesk.com/tethers…
"Tether’s Bank Says It Invests Some Customer Funds in Bitcoin
Deltec Bank & Trust announced it had invested customer funds in bitcoin since the cryptocurrency's price was around $9,300."
https://www.forbes.com/sites/rob…
"This staggering increase of over $4b of new Tethers implies that someone paid $4b into Tether to purchase Bitcoin in just the past three months. Tether has a somewhat of a checkered past with its policy not to publish any kinds of audits nor show proof of funds. Whether or not they are the recipient of $4b of cash is not known but it raises questions especially when Tether is created over the weekends and other times when other markets wouldn’t normally trade."
Something seems a bit off with Tether and some of the bitcoin pumps.

My litecoin is down 20% since purchase and my bitcoin cash is up 15% so I am down like $40.
I suspect litecoin will crash at some point but bitcoin cash will continue to rise and stay strong since traditional bitcoin has a major flaw—It can not easily run or manage daily transactions for commercial use.
- all the alt coins did me good. the only one that treats me right is bitcoin. it swings harder. recovers faster.AQUTE
- Lightning Network is the bitcoin payments rail. Bitcoin Cash will keep going down vs btc. Litecoin will not survive either.ESKEMA

Treasury nominee Yellen is looking to curtail use of cryptocurrency
Yellen argues many cryptocurrencies are used "mainly for illicit financing."https://arstechnica.com/tech-pol…
"Cryptocurrencies could come under renewed regulatory scrutiny over the next four years if Janet Yellen, Joe Biden's pick to lead the Treasury Department, gets her way. During Yellen's Tuesday confirmation hearing before the Senate Finance Committee, Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.) asked Yellen about the use of cryptocurrency by terrorists and other criminals.
"Cryptocurrencies are a particular concern," Yellen responded. "I think many are used—at least in a transactions sense—mainly for illicit financing."
She said she wanted to "examine ways in which we can curtail their use and make sure that [money laundering] doesn't occur through those channels.""
