Peoples use of the word "extremely".

I heard a person in an interview disappointed that he wasn't "extremely happy" with his life. Happiness is a rare state in itself, when you think about it - what people usually mean is content.

I've heard people answer "extremely well" or "extremely productive" when asked how it's going.

Really? Do you expect to be EXTREMELY happy with your life more than twice in a lifetime? Are you actually EXTREMELY well or EXTREMELY productive?

Stop it with the fucking hyperbole.

I'm trying the 1 month free trail for Youtube Premium. Lovely not to have to skip endless adverts which are totally inappropriate - I'd be fine being served adverts for brands and products/services I'm looking for or want to use...

But you still get the 'sponsered' part of youtuber's videos... pity it's not cheaper, happy to pay $5 per month.

    Vertical video.
Imagine the years of work this has caused, 2/3 of your TV screen being pillar bars. This is all on Apple and Google for enabling it.

    Christmas
Not that's it's a 2 day holiday - that it's an entire season that some people start right after Labor Day. An entire exercise in bad taste. Absolute garbage music, decorations, entertainment, admittedly ugly sweaters and other clothing. The list is endless, retail and capitalism at its absolute worst. The travel, the obligation to appear, cook, shop, etc. What a nightmare. That's not even getting into religion.

Budget Airline Booking, in this case WizzAir.

Tried to book a return flight from Italy, went through the process and stupidly clicked a "join WizzBullshit and save EUR15", which on the next page told me it would cost EUR45, ok, sod that, back a page. "Hmm you appear to want to amend your booking - you'll need to start again" ..er..ok? Start again. Oh, look my price has suddenly jumped EUR40, er.. ok? How do I undo that - refresh - "You appear to be a bot! If you are not, here's what to do..." I'm not doing any of those things.

Ok, fuckit, Ryanair it is. Well done, WizzAir?

eBike rental companies such as Lime for the amount of times I see their bullshit shitty bikes left right across a pavement. Conditons are icy outside at the moment, and there are two of eehse shitty piles of crap laid right in the way of the only passable path with no black ice.

I don't even blame the ignorant pigs who rented them and left them there - they're just arseholes, but they're not arseholes that have predicated their entire business model on the abrogation of responsibility and outsourcing of costs to society generally.

YouTube for not having a filter that prevents my 7 year old daughter from watching sad, mundane, generic vlogger adults and kids from spending 3/4 of a video talking about the thing they're going to do, and their dumb lives, and 1/4 of the video doing the actual thing my daughter wants to see.

She loves gymnastics. She loves ninja courses like American Ninja Warrior. She finds tons of videos of kids doing that stuff, and they pretty much go like this in a 45 minute video:

5 minutes walking around the house, mom making breakfast, jokes, talking about where they're going that day.
15 minutes of the car ride to get to the place.
5 minutes walking into the place and taking videos of staff
5 minutes putting on shoes or gear of whatever they need to do.
5 minutes talking more about the thing they're going to do.
5 minutes doing the thing they have been talking about doing.
5 minutes begging people to subscribe to their channel to watch more of the meaningless content and less of the stuff people want.

    It makes me insane.
