I picked up this VCF yesterday.. not that I have HP spare or need another filter.. but as it was so dirt cheap it was hard to ignore

FM8 for $10
https://www.pluginboutique.com/p…- FYI, you're gonna need a magnifying glass to use this on anything that's not 1024x768 res. Can't believe these guys never updated this plugin.section_014
- lol, that's ok, reading glasses are right around the corner for canoe... I wouldn't buy it for a $150canoe

Cool to see him dig around the Ableton project file for this:
You can use youtube translated captions to kinda see what he's talking about.

- identical to the gakken one? seems odd for teenage to licence something but nice they'e doing it for the western market with accessories etc.kingsteven
- yeah a gakken but gonna be more accessible to get hands on I guessprophetone
- I’d be lying if I said it’s not a buy, novelty yes but would be cool to make your own 45s even if low resprophetone
- this one does look a bit more solid than the gakken and it has a speaker port, there is a youtube video where a guy gets decent quality cuts from the gakkenkingsteven
- he just approximates the RIAA curve on an eq on the input which seems like an omission! maybe teenage added some active electronics on the input too?kingsteven

- Anyone tried this yet? Does it work on Mac?Ianbolton
- couldn't get it to work on my m1, works on windowskingsteven
- there is an intel/m1 build and it opened and can load samples (wavs only) and then wouldn't make soundkingsteven
- I got it to work. Kinda cool, a little novelty though. Unless I'm only scratching the surface which is 100% possibleletterhead
- What did you get it to work on? No sound on my M1 ProIanbolton
- Finally got this to work and yeah, it’s a bit madIanbolton

AI-powered tools for mixing, mastering
https://www.musicradar.com/news/…
Not sure if I need a master but man it would be great if I pressed a button and all the levels and frequencies were worked out.
- highly recommend soothe 2. i have a few 'AI' plugins mixing now. gradually replacing things i've used for yearskingsteven
- Soothe 2, looks nice, not the price, but it seems very useful. is that for the entire mix? Or do you put it on every channel?canoe
- on channels and busses but the you hear the effect on the master bus because you've suppressed resonance more effectively before it's summedkingsteven
- i try and not have anything on the master bus, send to a human to master, get their opinion and if i'm not happy make some tweaks and send it backkingsteven
- https://www.izotope.… is a bit more of where I was goingcanoe
- you can do the same thing with AI mastering services, upload your mix and A/B make changes based on what it returns but an engineer will tell you whats upkingsteven
- I got soothe after trying this similar plugin: https://www.qbn.com/…
a bit less clinical, but i found it so useful i got soothe anywaykingsteven
