^ thanks micro - really useful advice.
never used bounced files for arrangement - always felt like you lose control once you bouunce audio - but it makes sense for arrangement. thanks again.

I'd really recomment giving Ableton Live (or Bitwig) with their Session views a go. It's great for jamming with your "lego blocks".
And you don't have to bounce stuff down, you can leave synths as synths so their parameters can be tweaked real-time as you jam and record as you go along with recording the parameters of effects/volumes etc- is your email real? may send you something which will illustrate my point.fadein11
- email isnt used sorry. i am real though :Pmicrokorg
- no probs. thanks for advice - makes sense and is what i need to do. get bored offadein11

Anyone own an OTO Biscuit?
http://www.otomachines.com/biscu…Originally just an effects unit but has had an OS update and can also be used as a synth.
Pretty pricey but seem to be popular. Are they worth the money though?
They've got some new toys getting released later this year ...
- lusted after one for a while but any time i've seen one in the wild its been ornamental. that 12-bit repeater is interesting thokingsteven

i am getting reason essential. (slow start). hah.
if it works out, i will upgrade to the full deal.now, here's my plans for the home studio.
1. Reason 7
2. M-audio Oxygen 8 (got this baby, it's compact).
3. Nektar Panorama P4 (49-keys).
4. KRK Rokit 6 (probably G2)
5. Propellerhead balance or Komplete Audio 6 - not sure here.- Propellerhead balance - is on the expensive side.akrok
- why reason?fadein11
- reason(!) I ask is I recently left Reason for Logic and am v.pleased that I did.fadein11
- well, i am giving it a shoot and see. there's always logic if that wont work out. got start somewhere.akrok
- the thing is, i am used to tracker so all of these DAW programs are like advance shit to me. haha.akrok
- reason is great. And good to buck the trend for different sounds whilst everyone else is on ableton.inteliboy

16 track Wav record to USB.
Now computer or DAW needed.
Pretty damn cool.
http://www.zzounds.com/item--CYA…- ok i have been wanting a 24bit at least 8 track digital recording solution w/o puterprophetone
- prophetone0
...so like i said above was looking for a computer-less at-least 8 track at once rack solution so i can just noodle around old school style with my jackie 32.8 without turning on a computer, but having those tracks rec'd for later.
there are older solutions available like a tascam hd/24 but meh... wouldn't it be lovely to track into a single unit rack mounted digital recorder that's just dead simple... record, stop, pop out a USB stick to DAW.
well BOOOM!!!!!!
