microKORG/Sound Editor
Version:1.0
Date:2015.06.01http://www.korg.com/us/support/d…
Here is a great piece of software for organizing and editing the sounds in your microKORG Synthesizer/Vocoder. It’s a free download, so enjoy!
Using the microKORG Sound Editor, you will be able see all of the parameters and their values on the computer screen, so editing is quick and easy! The envelope parameters are displayed graphically, and you can edit them by clicking and dragging. In addition to editing and creating new sounds, this software allows you to create libraries of individual patches, full loads of custom sounds, and even global settings.
The microKORG Sound Editor allows you to name each patch, even though the microKORG itself does not display these names. In fact, we've even included a duplicate of the factory preload data, including the patch names, to get you started.

Needing some input and advice here. What synths / sound modules are you liking?
What would you add to your studio, priced between $500-$600ish USD?
Already using...
Technics turntables
Arturia Mini Brute
Korg Microkorg
Korg Monotron
Korg Kaoss Pad Mini
Native Instruments Maschine
Native Instruments Komplete 10 Ultimate
Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 sound card
Behringer T-1953 Ultragain
Controllers laying around: Numark Orbit / Akai APC 40 + Mini / Korg Nanokontrol / M-Audio Axiom 25 / Novation Launchpad-
I slept on the above mentioned Korg MS-2000R and after learning it was the same core sounds as the microKORG, I don't feel it was all that lost of an opportunity.

Looking at stuff like these:

- Depends on what you are looking for. For me it's about 90s sounds and I have picked up cheap but dope modules and gear on eBay as a result.prophetone
- My last purchase was a Nord Rack 2, it's the bomb and you can snag one for $500. Then spend $100 a pop on rack modules - Emu Orbit, Roland M-DC1 and JV series.prophetone
- Looks like you have the in-the-box stuff covered...prophetone
- I feel like for you money nowadays, if you want synths/modules, you get better value buying old gear... but you have to like old gear!prophetone
- That JU-06 might be a next purchase for me though, we'll see. And I love the whole Critter and Guitari aesthetic and what they're doing.prophetone
- I appreciate the input prophet. Looking at old gear for sure, but eyeing the new generation mainly for reliability / warranty.imbecile
- the new stuff is great too but there's so much now it's def easy to get lost in it all. lots of wonderful toys. just focus on what sounds u need.prophetone
- I'm mainly into drum and bass production if that helps anyone.imbecile
- i have the minitaur.. its amazing. especially using the input and midi sequencing the filter.. so much win.autoflavour
- also have the Blofeld, which isnt the same as the Pulse, but as a Waldorf Q owner, its pretty impressive as a small box. only pain is the menu divingautoflavour
- recently purchased a Juno 6 (original keyboard) .. anyway, its amazing. i love it. if the JU-06 is even half the machine the Juno is, its a definite winautoflavour
- and i have a massive lady boner for the Mother32.. just no moneyautoflavour
- get a minibrut!inteliboy
- I'd grab one of the Moog's you mentioned.section_014

Any QBNers going to NAMM in January?
I tried to convince the wife I should go for my 40th but to no avail.ROLAND who are completely WINNING at the moment are rumoured to be announcing a new sampler at the event and it's meant to be 'game changing'!
- Roland winning! you 'aving a laugh? ><lessfloor

What's on your FOCUSRITE wishlist this year?
FOCUSRITE are holding a competition where you say what you'd like to add to your Christmas List and they'll pick some winners to receive what's on their list.
Not to be sniffed at ;)

Audulus 3 - looks dope, me likes. I just bought the Mac app/au and pros will buy the iPad edition too. It's on half price I think - $16 each.
