- holy shit dude. This just made me feel less guilty about my upcoming purchase.section_014
- btw, we're all coming round to yours for a jam this weekend.microkorg
- LOL.. the worst part is i dont have a studio space at the moment.. we just moved from Berlin to Sydney so my new project is clearing out a laundry/storage roomautoflavour
- and doing a bunch of work on making it a new studio.. but its not easy.. its literally full of 20 years of stuff.. we just ordered a skip bin its that badautoflavour
- just be ruthless, that's the best thing to do. im in the middle of a clearout too. going to part with the bulk of my vinyl,CD,DVDs. Keep some special ones thomicrokorg
- ... in the hope of attaining a very minimal lifestyle without clutter.microkorg
- yep.. just spent 5 hours filling 3/4 of the skip already.. still more to go, but a solid chunk gone.. worst part is its not even my crapautoflavour
- prophetone0
- i'd rather it had 4 good sounds for 400 noop than 13 that sound like a rhythm wolfkingsteven
- This is exactly what we needed. Not 808/909 rehash from Roland, not little toys from Korg / Akai. A proper drum machine for like $500.section_014
- Individual outs!prophetone
- Run this sucker thru distortion/delay, would be beast http://youtu.be/PNro…prophetone
- stupid video.. but for sub $500.. i would probably buy just for the individual outsautoflavour
- I agree about the video haha. This is making beats, not White Nights with Gregory Hines.prophetone
- the more i hear this box, the more it sounds like shartskingsteven

GAHHHH!!! New hardware overload..
A friend of mine is moving to overseas for a few years and I am going to babysit a bunch of his studio..
Amongst the list
Moog Voyager + CP251
Sherman Filterbank 2
Mutronics Mutator
Roland TR606
Jomox Airbase 99
API500 rack with a bunch of amazing 500 modules
2x Empirical Labs Distressor - EL8-Z
Eventide Space
flame clockworkThere was a bunch more, but honestly i just dont have the powerpoints, space or channel inputs..
- Filterbank and Space will be super fun!microkorg
- the mutonics mutator looks fun also.. never heard of it, but after watching a few vids, im keen to get it setup. Voyager should be niceautoflavour

just finished the painting in the new studio..
tomorrow morning the electrician comes to put all the new powerpoints and lighting in..
also a window company comes to measure for the replacement window
then in the afternoon the flooring guy comes..
then comes assembling all the benches etc from Ikea..
its a long path from the crap filled laundry.. but it feels like its almost a usable space.
- then, in the end.. i still need to wait a month or so until the rest of my studio arrives from Berlin..autoflavour
- just make sure you've got enough cables when it's done... there's nothing worse!kingsteven
- yeah, im a long way from cabling.. i dont even have my audio interface yet.. but yep.. its going to need a complete re cablingautoflavour

any good soundcloud alternatives on the horizon?
heads up that Soundcloud is changing their policy, hoping in long term to ‘expect all label-released content to be feed-delivered and not user-uploaded’
What a fucking joke.
Our entire back catalogue got added to our account, without our permission. All our old shit and b-side project shit that we do NOT want to have on there. This is content added to OUR account by a third party, bypassing our username and password.... just because they are a fucking label or distributor.
Can you imagine someone doing that to your Facebook or flickr account?
Fuck soundcloud.
- It's gotta adapt or die unfort. I only use it to upload demos and then don't care if labels post finished mastered stuff so doesn't bother me at all.fadein11
- SC is a mess, it's going to drag us down with it. we started commissioning videos for everything so we can go straight to YT when previewing... 128kbps in 2016kingsteven
- and they're trying to monetise that shit!! nope.kingsteven
- Fuck soundcloudApeRobot
- Your own web server?section_014

Anybody using Novation Circuit? Wasn't too impressed when they launched, but they've been rolling out new features for a couple of years and now they just keep showing up in folks live setups...
Anyway, just saw one locally for £200 second hand, worth a punt?
- Haven't played with one but yes have been seeing a lot of people using them. Fun for sofa jams.microkorg
- took me ages to find out the specs for the synths, 2 x 6 note poly... 64 'sounds' with 8 macro controls each... interesting.kingsteven
- basic poly synth with a sequencer is what i'm after... analog keys is wasted as a polysynth and got a volca FM, but it's got it's whole own thing going on.kingsteven
- I really like the way Novation have included other peoples products in their video. Suggests that they know the Circuit is not the be all and end all...microkorg
- ... and it is just another tool.microkorg
- microkorg0
@kingsteven
This'll probably swing you to buy one ....
- .. except for the stupid fucking superstarDJ flick-knob-tweaking. im sure you don't do that though ;)microkorg
- hahah, no. the reverb sounds great here. think i'll be getting one...kingsteven
- kingsteven0
- seems very capable! the hardware needs a screen for me to like it, id forget what everything was assigned to ;)microkorg
- prophetone1
Oh man, it's spendy, reallly spendy... but, it's also pretty awesome I gotta say.
- next time i have money (ie sometime in the next 20 years) i will get oneautoflavour
- autoflavour1
today the electrician comes to finish the power in the studio..
i live in hope anyway..argh..
then i just need to paint a few small spots, finishing installing all the desks and stuff..
still waiting on all the AURALEX foam to arrive..
Window is supposed to be here next week..
i hate waiting..
i want everything NOW
- i have been taking progress shots.. will post when finished.autoflavour

Anyone using a DJ Tech Tools Midifighter Twister?
Is it easy to program / setup?Been checking them out over the weekend.
I've got my Push2 for controlling Ableton Live but really fancy more knobs for controlling other bits and bobs.It seems you can also use them for controlling elements within programs like Lightroom for quick-control.
- Seems like a lot a $$$ for that. You can buy 4 Novation Launch Controls for that price.section_014
- it's the midi feedback and current status that is of interest with this.
another option is stying to grab an old Livid Instruments Code. But they rare!!!microkorg - Theres lots of knob controllers out there but don't show current knob status correct if you tweak in software.microkorg
