New to here...
Just share my kit, which is all free plugins + a mini akai controller. I like to keep my setup cheap, simple, and all in one machine:
Only synth I use:
http://www.geocities.jp/daichi19…Amazing quality eq / compressor / and 'proximity':
http://www.tokyodawn.net/tokyo-d…Proximity is magic, I use it on everything.
And this gives a wonderful light overdrive:
http://klanghelm.com/contents/pr…And all the included apple AU plugins that you get in your mac, are excellent too. AUMatrixReverb is perfect.
You can create all manor of synth sounds with that setup. Just automate/lfo etc everything in those plugins from your DAW.
DAW of choice is Renoise version 2.8. I dislike the tracker aspect of it, and would love a piano roll and timeline, but having looked at ableton/logic/bitwig I can't find a more flexible and quick routing matrix to as what you find in Renoise. Shame they went too geeky with V3.
- i use tokyo labs slick eq and nova quite a bit, will check out proximity.kingsteven
- Drop the $30 on the SDDR from Klanghelm. The extra modes and controls are beyond worth it.section_014
- Welcome.. Once i get my shit back together, i will investigate this list..autoflavour

BIG reduction in price on Roland AIRA Effects boxes at Thomann.
http://www.synthanatomy.com/2016…
Really tempted at this price.
It says they can be used as an audio interface to send audio FROM these boxes to computer via the USB cable.
But its not clear if
1) they can receive audio from computer then output via the units outputs to amp/monitors. (I'd like to use this as an output audio interface from computer with the addition of effects)
or
2) you can plug in the USB cable and have this capability when the box is mounted in a euro case or skiff.Anyone here got one?
- i'm not sure about these but eurorack audio levels far hotter than line level so i imagine they would be specifically intended for modular processing.kingsteven
- also, i'm sure roland would have called them "plugout vsts" or some shite like that if that was their intention.kingsteven

Love the HORRORS.

Can anyone recommend / recommend against the Maschine at this point? I want something new to toy with and learn but ive read some forums and stuff and it sounds like Maschine peeps are getting impatient waiting for updates and important features... Maybe a new one on the horizon? Should I hold off?
- I have it and only ever use it as a controller - shame really. It's a whole new piece of software to learn and I just haven't had the time to do it.fadein11
- It comes with Massive though which I have used a lot.
I guess what put me off is what a pain in the ass it is to separate maschine patterns onto separatefadein11 - tracks in Logic - i.e. kick on 1, snare on another etc. It just brings in the whole thing as 1 track.
I know this is possible it's just a convoluted process...fadein11 - sounds like we use maschine the same way . if u are looking to spend some money mantrakid - get Reaktor6 with Blocks. Inifinite virtual modular synthness!microkorg

hahah crazy, appreciate the comments - actually it was mentioned a couple times the reason i want to get into it more - that there is more full song making control available, but takes some digging to get there - looking for something new i can learn which might open me up to doing different styles of shit potentially just by way of being ripped right apart from my usual workflow.
Thanks so much! B@sh4lyfe!
