I'm rocking the Sennheiser 419s. Cheap, lightweight, comfortable, great bass response, with nice mids and highs, too.

Got the Sennheiser HD-25 as a Birthday gift from some people I'm living with this year cause I started to deejay again and I'm absolutely loving them.
There's better one for sure but these are already awesome for me.
Mind you that I live with a couple of professional musicians, deejays, music teachers and sound engineers...

Still using a pair of Sennheiser HD 25's I purchased in 1994.
Never replaced the cable...the covers on each can are still intact.
- Sennheiser HD 280 PRO's ftw!ideaist
- I use the HD-280 Pro's at work. They're really nice. I like them a lot better than the Sony MDR 700's (used to be real popular for djs) they replaced.section_014

Does anyone of you already tried (own) a pair of these Nuraphone? I really want to buy one but I need to have opinions.

They have just released a huge software update (including Active Noise Cancellation, Social Mode, etc.)

For the gym:
Sennheiser OMX 181's are the best I've ever owned. They're discontinued but...
- You can still find them really cheap (£20)
- Go up to 120dB (none of that 100dB shit)
- Volume control on the cord
- Over-ear hook design so you're not grabbing them when you sweat
- Good sound for everything, not just heavy bass Slovakian trance

These guys are a client of ours. The AF78 ($199) has a 9mm dynamic driver and a balanced armature driver and the sound is truly amazing.

AKG does a dual driver pair similar but they are $1000+

If you're still looking for workout headphones that aren't in-ear. these are a good choice:

and cheap. They're open, so you can still hear stuff around you. (like cars if you run)

Ignoring that last post, how about some Swedish ones?

for work i have sennheiser hd280s, because they're noise cancelling and comfortable and don't produce any sound to the people around.
for home i have sennheiser 550s, which are open and super comfortable and have outstanding sound, but since they're open you can hear what is being played from pretty far away.
both recommended.
- neither of these are in-ear, the 280 is much more practical.colin_s
- the TMA-1's are noise cancelling and produce no noise either, love senn's...cruddlebub
- ..but the las few pairs i have had have broken! :(cruddlebub

- a great classic, still used for reference by sound pros wordlwide. I recently switched to senheiser from these thoughMiguex
- I found that some low frequencies were missing on my sony's but mids might be a bit muddierMiguex
- They are exactly the same as the older MDR-V6, only pricier and with a gold plug.raf
- I have 3 pairs of MDR-V6, they're fantastic.raf

LOVED my old AKG headphones... but some people hated them, as the pads hurt their ears, so try before you buy!
AND... beware of fakes:
