Since I became a father almost 12 years ago, I've always set my wallpaper as a pic of my kids. Standard practice.
I decided to change it up this week and found a new option in settings > wallpaper where my phone scans my photos of my kids, and other cool landscape shots, and cycles through them every 6 hours or so. And it'll add a little mask where the date/time is. Probably not new to most of you, but I'm digging it!

Apple event starting soon. I know we all want a new 27" or 30" iMac Pro but what we're going to get and what we really need I guess is a very slightly better iPhone and a very slightly better watch!

When is Apple gonna get off the whole numbering thing? 16 is too many. It's almost rubbing your nose in the fact that your phone is going to be obsolete in 1 or 2 years.

Tried to get ready for the preorder because I do that subscription thing where you can get a new phone every year, and got denied for the citizen bank loan.
Looked into it, hours of calls with the bank and with Apple, to only find out that when I sent my old phone for trade in back to Apple, UPS must have lost it. They're making me pay off the remainder of the loan - $565 - to get approved for the new phone upgrade.
UPS cannot track tracking numbers older than 120 days, and this was September 30, 2023 that I mailed it back.
So completely stupid.

Just did the ios18 update and simple as it is, the ability to customize / tint icon colors and make them larger to remove the text labels is really nice. However...
It must piss off a ton of brands that their icons can be manipulated away from the actual brand colors and such. Or, does the old "never design a logo that doesn't look good in one color" still hold true?
Either way, I really like this update.
