I love how the reactions here are always so negative. remember when the iPad was announced, everyone called it a failure. Give it a few months and you'll be wearing your Apple Watch as you type on your gold Macbook.

It took Apple longer to create their propaganda marketing videos that the actual watch.

I can just picture all the flashy douchebags out there already telling their assistants they need to get that 10K watch...

I like all the features, just dont like how it looks. It looks like an old mans watch. Ive never had a desire for a square watch.
Think im gonna wait for the next model to see if they come up with some different designs.

the watch is a cool idea, but i dont see myself ever buying one.
the effort to take my phone out of my pocket vs the money it will cost to have something on my wrist is never going to be reconciled.- also most of the features are just pointless extensions of things of your life..

they could have made it thinner for sure. Apple always keep some space for future upgrades. Watch2 will be 1,7mm thinner. I'm sure.
- CygnusZero40
Im convinced they purposely dumb down certain things, so theres room to grow in the future. They could have spent more time and made this thinner, made it a little sexier, but then it would be more difficult to improve on in 2016. Apple probably feels like if the Watch2 is a nice enough upgrade, they will get people who already bought the first one to buy it again. Good reason why they are so wealthy.

and some features won't work with iOSxx and blah blah, pushing you to upgrade again and again.
and the life of this watch is probably already calculated as 1.5-2 years before the user start having battery problems, softwares slowliness and iOS version compatibility.
