There isnt really anything in that app. The vids from the event yesterday, and the pairing option. Thats it. I wonder why when you click pairing why it wants to take a pic of the watch.

From a marketing perspective I think it's great. You have to understand that the days of apple being a tool aimed at creative professionals is long gone since the introduction of the iphone. Nowadays it's more like a fashion accessory. Think about it.. the macbook air is proof of that.The high price tag is attractive to some consumers purely as a status symbol. The same people that buy bottle service with sparkles at a club will be all over this. You wear it on your wrist, is like in the old days when people paid attention to a nice big watch on the wrist, they would even pair it with clothing. Today people don't wear watches as much, because we all carry a phone in our pocket.
I think they are out to change that, they want to bring the "expensive wrist accessory" back to new generations.
What does the phone look like?

Its a great move. This watch isn't geared to the crotchety users taht are upset about their ports vanishing, its for the kids and wall st *people and they'll eat it up.
*there are a bunch of financial apps that are coinciding with this launch specifically for the watch

i know i have some weakness for new tech toys sometimes but i will do my best to not buy the Apple Watch. I'm already connected on a screen almost 15 hours /day, i dont want to fill the empty space with a new tiny screen to look at.
The only thing that really interest me in the watch is all the data collecting about exercise and Health app syncing and sleep time. I like stats and that shit talks to me.

Im a sucker for new gadgets too, but with things like this, I typically like to avoid the first model. This is their first stab at this, so I would feel better about jumping in with the 2nd model, which I doubt would take too much time to come out. In the meantime I'll just use my iphone for the things the watch would do.
