Apple can't win because half the people want one thing and half want the opposite, but 99% of us love to complain.

iPhone 6 gets released, half the people complain, "Why doesn't Apple make a new phone like the 5?! That was a much better design!"

So then Apple responds by giving these customers exactly what they're asking for, and you get half the people complaining that it's not innovative enough.

    • There in lies the problem. When the fuck did Jobs give people what they wanted?

People are idiots and don't know what they want. They need to be told.

I notice the same double-standard with everything, even with how Apple presents it's new products. With Steve, every product announcement was overdramatized, everything was "this new AMAAAAZING product" and there were rock bands performing at product announcements and all kinds of circus shit. Many people really made fun of Apple for that. Now, the product announcements are more subtle, less boastful, and people are like, "Oh Apple announcements are not the same without Steve."

    • eh? Apple launches were always cringeworthy - Jobs used to make me want to vomit... but the products were new and interesting.fadein11
    • chillax - it's not your company - people can have a viewpoint. It aint the company it used to be - fact.fadein11
    • "less boastful" lol.fadein11
    • Apple followed the market with 6, they used to lead the market... and it's happening more and more with them.fadein11
    • I agree that Steve's presence made the company produce great things. But, there is only so much innovation to be had.
      ********
    • iPad Pro is pretty innovative, no? I'd say it's leading the market.
      ********
    • really? I would say Surface Pro is leading that market i.e. having an OS pro's want/need to use - not a stripped back mobile OS.fadein11
    • Most people don't want a "real" OS.

    You simply can't please everyone.

And at the end of the day (and this is where it's gets ridiculous in context of life and the human race) we're talking about a phone.

    I have a 6 plus space grey 128

Aside from often using its massive screen for video, i don't like this thing awkwardly huge in my pocket

that se rose gold 64 is likely perfect for me

I don't see the need for the 3D touch function but like the idea of a smaller phone again with better specs

    I'm old apparently

    plus... rose gold

    Easy.

    Peasy.

The main problem with the iPhone 5SE is that we'll have to keep optimising mobile websites for the tiny screen.
So much for hoping these days were going to be over.

    • surely it will be the same res as existing phones just on a smaller screen?fadein11

As I said... stop calling it a new iPhone. It's a minor spec upgrade, like when MacBooks get a 0.2 GHz faster processor once or twice a year:
