- Much smaller than I'd envisaged.detritus

- it's a ring cos it's round and not square, build me it cos it's not a square.********

Okay, I guess I'll be the one to bump this.

Well, no live streaming for Firefox, Chrome and IE? Pretty funny from a company that hated on Flash because it was proprietary.
- And Amazon won't sell Apple TVs for the same reason.monospaced
- competition, that ismonospaced
- Have fun with the 5% reach then, Apple.mekk
- Has Apple only got to 5% marketshare with its devices? Damn.monospaced
- they call a white screen "retina flash".mekk
- Also, you think Apple cares? I mean, they've always done this, and for some reason everyone knows all about it regardless of browser.monospaced
- @mono - come on he has a point - it's ludicrous you can only stream their cringey events in Safari, no?fadein11
- on desktop browsers, yes.mekk
- idiotsdbloc
- This keyboard is inspired by this one device Apple fans hate so much, huh?mekk
- it's totally lame, but also shouldn't be a surprise after this many years, no?monospaced
- dbloc0
so what did they present?
- lvl_130
wow-so absolutely nothing even worth talking about. no wonder no one even bothered to bump this thread.
not hating-just nothing exciting to report.

Since i'm all Android and Windows now, I have never gave so few fucks about an Apple event!
- and here you are!monospaced
- feels good man :DBennn
- not as rough on the anus?monospaced

Haha, totally forgot they had somethign today! I was even talking with a friend about it yesterday.
I guess the fact that QBN doesn't have a dedicated thread, like very other event they've had, says something about where they are.
Did I miss anything?
Didn't think so

They are going to sell shitloads of those iPhone SEs
- You think so? I don't know any buyers, do you? There's nothing new about it.formed
- Price and the best form factor in the opinion of manyernexbcn
- I know quite a few interesting folks as well. This bigger sixes aren't for everyone.evilpeacock
- My gf is getting one, she has a 5S and hated the 6 and 6S sizesernexbcn
- Most of my friends held off on the 6 because of the size.nb
- I feel i look silly everytime i'm taking out my Nexus 6P in public. (5,7'' screen) I'll stick to Android, but will go for a smaller device next time.Bennn
- I'm glad they're going smaller. I still think my 4S was the best size for a phone.section_014
- That said, my $180 Moto G is as good as anything out there. $400? for what exactly? Im an Apple fanboy like the rest of you too.section_014
- Hey don't look at me I switched from an iPhone 4 to a Moto G 2015ernexbcn
- I agreed...until I got an S5, now there's no goign back to the smaller screen. nice for a phone, bad for usefulness.formed
- I have the 6, but prefer holding the 5S. Reaching the top is a stretch with one hand. I feel like the smallest 4" is actually too small. Anyway.monospaced
- Power button on top is better too with less accidental presses.monospaced
- just replaced my iphone 4 with a 6. it's a bloody ballix. gonna sell it and buy a SEkingsteven
- Bennn0
I still have my old iPhone 5, my gf is using it as an iPod. And I have to admit it was the perfect size on the road.
I own a Nexus 6P now and I like it a lot, but its huge. My next phone will be smaller for sure.
- My Z5 Compact has fast become the best phone I have owned. The size is perfect.face_melter
- Yep the form factor was the best. I now have a 5" phone and I wish the browser input row was at the bottom.mekk
- utopian5
- you do know it's not replacing their larger flagships right? you posted the same joke when they had a larger phonemonospaced

I like the size of the iphoneSE and want it, but I can't believe they didn't bother to round the edges of the phone. They just repurposed the iphone5. I guess that's why they prefaced the meeting with Environment and Recycling.

I was waiting for this, mainly for the price point. I still think it's ridiculous they continue to have 16gb models. You can buy 32gb pens for less than 10$ ffs.
- True, a hundred bucks more gets you the 64 versionernexbcn
- the fact that you have to pay $100 for 32GB of storage is a goddamn ripoffmonospaced
- mekk0
Once again the audience was in awe when they announced that you can pay with the iPhone SE.
- dbloc1
They should try to do something innovative.
- instrmntl1
I want a Thunderbolt Retina display. WTF!
- that would make sense... but doubt they would announce that as some sort of big dealmonospaced
- ha. what dpi and size is "retina" and why must the connector be thunderbolt?********
- a very flat non glare 1440p 144hz freesync display along with a new MacBook Pro would be ace. The ones on the market are 'gaming' branded and look like crap.mekk
- http://www.neweggbus…********
- I think he means 5K like thi iMacs.monospaced
- I just hope they finally have one with 100%adobeRGB coverage.pango
- @deathboy exactly this panel in a good slim case.mekk
- it's not even 4kutopian
- I've been holding out on getting a new monitor. They need to kick it into high gear.instrmntl
- lol, that ASUS is pretty low resmonospaced
- @deathboy, that ASUS is standard res, but the 27" iMac is 4x the resolution. That requires thunderbolt bandwidth or bettermonospaced
- i was making fun of the marketing terms used by apple and how a lot of consumers dont even understand them. dp or hdmi works for 4k********
- and 4k is overkill. scaling OS are meh. only real use is to edit 4k video on large display. but to each their own. some people bought 3D tvs********
- i have a 4k z27 that i run at 1440p and looks perfectly fine for how far i sit from it. same with some 24s at 1080.********
- Trust me, if you have a 5K 27" next to that z27, you'll see a HUGE difference. Plus, scaling is ace. Not sure where you've been. Sorry.monospaced
- The problem is how much stuff is built for 5K viewing? This is where scaling is meh. 4K tvs look great with 4k content. But i wouldnt buy one either.********
- The OS is made for that size. Retina is pretty much standard on all laptops these days so why not on desktop? Even the web has caught up mostly.monospaced
- It looks nice but it isn't for me. I chose a regular 1920x1080 monitor on my laptop for battery life and performance too. Its what i find efficient********
- i just much prefer stating display sizes than saying retina as an arbitrary marketing measurement.********
- I think the intial point was that a monitor already exists if you only define what is "retina" size and to what end do u need "thunderbolt"********
- and don't be a consumer whore and fall for simple marketing techniques********
- like realizing milk with generic label is the same as the more expensive milk next to it with model dairy. same cows same farms********
- that monitor you posted is 4X lower resolution than the one Apple uses. 4x the pixels requires more bandwidth. Thunderbolt is a name for a display portmonospaced
- retina isn't arbitrary marketing, it's a term to explain what it's like to view one. Also, even lenovos are going that route, and they all have thunderboltmonospaced
- it's not even an apple thing, so it's hilarious that you would think it was just their marketingmonospaced
- the one i posted was to mekks specs. he defined size. i think he wanted in a laptop or a look which is pure aesetics. retina is arbitary marketing speak********
- it doesn't stand for a specific dpi, res, or size. Thunderbolt is apples name for there modded display port. It was there universal connector that had xtra band********
- width. The only problem is the bandwidth was unnecessary at that time and now there is new standards like mini usb3.1 hdmi 1.4 dp 2.3.********
- Right. That basic monitor would not require much bandwidth, certainly not like a 4-5k display would.monospaced
