Anyone find it impossible to know truly how much battery life is left in your iphone?
If it's below 35° F my battery will go from saying something like 48% right down to 1%... sometimes it'll just shut off and not even bother dropping to 1%. Both my brothers have the same 6+ phone... same issue. My wife's 6 also does this.
Other times it drops to 1% when there is no issue w/the temperature... very annoying.
- pornhub drains the battery; stay off it!chukkaphob
- lithium ion in freezing temperatures is very unstable.zarkonite

- Yeah, I know he's a tad blah.
I still think Craig Federighi should do the keynotes: http://www.apple.com…

"TV"
*clap* *clap* *clap* *clap* *clap*
- PLEX meets NETFLIX, etc.
Apple are content distributors now with various stakeholder interests.
Such is life.ideaist - Can't really complain about a consolidated media app like that.monospaced
- I'm not switching away from netflix for that =)zarkonite
- Since NETFLIX is on Apple TV, I wonder how it will integrate into this TV app?ideaist
- TV App and chill just doesn't have the same ring.zarkonite
- you don't have to... the app will be able to source everything from netflix on top of every single other appmonospaced
- but that isn't new ... the siri feature already sourced netflix this way for the last year or somonospaced
- I guess so, eh?
It really opens up the API of each service as well as Apple's which is good for the consumer.ideaist - Apple: We call it simply, "TV"
Microsoft: Introducing "Microsoft Unified TV Studio Entertainment"
You know that would be true.kona - if Microsoft was in that game, maybemonospaced

R.I.P. Function Key(s)
- Touch Bar is neat.
IF Adobe tales advantage of this, it could be great...ideaist - that's it?monospaced
- Do you think most people were hoping for/expecting a full touch screen?ideaist
- Yeah I like the Touch Bardbloc
- "siri turn the volume down"zarkonite
- No, I think most people already knew the touch bar was coming and wanted more.monospaced
- I'm sure it'll be a neat improvement in time.zarkonite
- It's neat.monospaced
- Seems almost like it should be bigger with all the functionality they are attempting.yuekit
- well, looks like Adobe DID take advantage of itmonospaced
- I think a Touch Bar "app" will come about that will mirror these functions on iPad/iPhone/etc. like @yoekit said above.ideaist
- Touch Bar is neat.

Does Phil Schiller still talk like he's a primary school teacher addressing a class of six year olds?
- ESKEMA-1
But is it the BEST Touch Bar ever? they didn't say so I'm a bit confused.

So I navigate to apple.com using Safari and I get this:
"Your browser doesn’t support live streaming of the event.
Live streaming uses Apple’s HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology. HLS requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Safari on iOS 7.0 or later, a Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later, or a PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. Streaming via Apple TV requires an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) with software 6.2 or later or an Apple TV (4th generation)."
- TLDRchukkaphob
- Apple is becoming such an annoying nazi company with horrible approach and attitude.chukkaphob
- Eff you and your exclusivity monopolistic BS!chukkaphob
- *upvoted* myselfchukkaphob
- you're whining because they require an OS at least 3.5 years old?monospaced
- they never let live streaming to a non apple device, nothing new there..ESKEMA
- Microsoft has been no different about requiring their own current tech for a event stream, especially during the Silverlight days.evilpeacock
- yeah, true it's nothing new. Still lame AF.chukkaphob
- They're not as cool as they think they are. Bunch a cunts resting on the laurels of a cult of applefanboys that occurred by accident. </rant>chukkaphob
- ironically it works on Edge on windows 10!zarkonite

This is pretty impressive...but do they really think people are going to DJ with a touch bar hahaa
Will be interesting to see if other laptops adopt something similar
- I think a Touch Bar "app" will come about that will mirror these functions on iPad/iPhone/etc. like @yoekit said above.ideaist

The new machines still seem underpowered for Pro machines. Only one has the i7 standard?!

My day: Mighty mouse stops tracking intermittently. I call IT for a new mouse and get an Apple Mighty Mouse 2 that has a lithium battery that charges with a Lightning cable. Cool. No need for AAs anymore. But that mouse wouldn't scroll because you need El Capitan or later. Ok, My OS was two versions old so I was only mildly pissed. I update and then every time I press spacebar from anywhere, the Finder pops up. My whole computer is unusable. Then an update alert comes up and I have to update again. I'm just glad I wasn't having a busy morning.
- Not to mention Outlook crashes every few minutes and the server connection is ass.CyBrainX
- Yeah, Apple should retire Outlook, it's their worst piece of software so far.monospaced
- The non-Windows Outlook is awful, not recommended unless you like to tinker with fixing it all the time.evilpeacock
- And as always, they might want to update the Mac Pros more than once every three years. Didn't they use to upgrade the high end at least twice a year?CyBrainX
- aww poor baby. i can fix it for you, hun********

OMFG they have lost their minds.
$1500 for the a 2.0ghz dual core i5 with two ports (one if you need to charge)? Peace out Apple. I'm gonna buy a green snake razer laptop and run Linux in a virtual box for web shit.

No mention of iMac, Mac Mini or Mac Pro.
- exactly ... I was half expecting a regular Mac, considering their teaser was "hello, again"monospaced
- The last Mac Pro reveal barely got a mention but was promoted more as a separate non-event thing.evilpeacock
- ...and supposedly the new iMacs aren't ready yet due to supply issues.evilpeacock
- Will anyone hear our pleas????CyBrainX
- I think I'm going to have to build my own Mac next year.monospaced
