stoked.. went on holidays 4 weeks ago, stopped IF and basically went back to usual consumption mode.. didn't go overboard, but definitely were eating worse than usual.. lots of beer, pizza and general crap.
weighed myself today, fearing the worst.
I actually lost a kilo ..
likely due to the insane amounts of running around we were doing the entire trip. but still.. happy camper.

"I would strongly recommend, though, if you don’t think you have any secure relationships in your personal life, or if you have a hard time even recognizing what this may look like, start with getting yourself into therapy where you can work with someone who’s literal JOB is to be a securely attached, consistent figure for you.
Let them model for you and help you explore what functional, more secure relationship could look like and then take your learnings outside the therapy room and either find or see the people in your life who can likewise be considered secure. And then cultivate reparative relational experiences with them."

Got back on a Keto plan this past Sunday after doing a balanced macro diet for a few months. I did Keto back in February and March and loved it for: the energy, the mental focus, the reduced hunger cravings, etc.
On a balanced diet, even if I'm not gorging on carbs, I'm hungry all the damn time. I'm so much more inclined to eat sugar endlessly. I wake up tired and I'm sluggish throughout the day. Even just cutting back on sugar doesn't help.
So I'm five days in and I've averaged 5 grams of carbs a day as opposed to my usual 30+. Planning my meals every morning using the Lose It! app and modeling out all meals and snacks to nail everything.
That's my breakdown for food today.
That's how much sugar I typically eat vs. the past few days. Love seeing how drastically different this is.- how!? i consume 7 grams of sugar just waking upimbecile
- Just being strategic about food choices. Keto keeps carb cravings and sugar cravings at bay like nothing else can.mg33

:) Haven't seen our creative director in a week and he walked by this morning and goes "man, what are you doing? you're looking so lean all of a sudden."
I'm down like 4 pounds since August 13th and definitely looking / feeling leaner. Started telling him about keto; he'd never heard of it.
Also told the manager / trainer at our building's gym that I was back doing keto (she had some apprehensions about it earlier this year) and mentioned I averaged 21 net carbs for the past 1 1/2 weeks. She goes "huh???" and looked at me like I was nuts.

I've just consumed roughly 120 grams of sugar in the last hour having left work. I'm still wondering how this keto diet works... so like, the Jarritos and Haribo bears are a no-go for the rest of my life!? I weigh like 145 and can kinda see an ab or two, so it's not like I have a weight problem... other than the sluggish and tired entirely too early problem that is becoming more prevalent as I age. #signsyourgettingold

I've phased out of Keto because I wasn't getting enough protein to support all the lifting I'm doing.
Switched over to the IIFYM / If It Fits Your Macros format of eating, which is pretty good so far. Forces me to plan my day's meals and snacks the day before and really stick to it, not much different than I would with Keto to target the right things.

Runners out there, do you mix up biking and running, or solely run w/ Crossfit or other types of exercise?
Loving it so much, but struggled to get out of bed. Was yearning for a run but stood frozen in bed, has this happened to you?
- "Loving it so much" is it something you just tell yourself?drgs
- Solely run with strength training for running to run longer. I always run in the morning so running is the first thing on my mind as soon as I wake up.********
- When my family and I go on vacation to the mountains I get up at 5am while everyone is sleeping so I can get a run in before spending the rest of the day hiking********
- Still, there have been times when I have taken 1 or 2 weeks off because I wasn't feeling it. Don't feel guilty to take some time off. It should always be fun.********
- If you want motivation geek out reading about new techniques or workouts the night before to try the next morning. Have your gear ready before going to bed.********
