A perfect example that you can be very rich but still selfish and cheap. Too bad that this is done in the name of entire nations by the hands of governments. What a shame. What good would it bring to strip these unfortunate people off their last safety nets. Government officials mercifully agreed to apply some exceptions for items with sentimental values like wedding rings !!!! Very nice of them ! What will come next ? Are they going to pull "golden teeth" from the dead to recover the costs ?

    • Got to Swiss neutrality. If it's worth something, they'll add it to the stash, no matter where it came from.Fax_Benson

    • I don't want to defend this. I don't think it's fair. but, you should know all the facts: if the refugees decide to leave switzerland within 7 month, uan
    • they get the money back. the law is in place for a long time, it's not new, like the guardian article seems to report. last year there were 115 casesuan
    • where this law was applied. and there were around 30'000 refugees entering switzerland in that time.uan
    • my point is, it's a problematic law, but it's only applied in rare cases. mostly to calm down the right wing positions in the government.uan
    • because the right is troubled by the 1500 monthly cost for every refugee that enters the country. actually they are not really troubled, but use it to get votesuan

Swedish police will no longer be able to give descriptions of alleged criminals for fear of being seen as racist.

According to an internal letter, police in capital city Stockholm are instructed to refrain from describing suspects' race and nationality, according to news website Speisa.

Just think about the opportunity that one day your daughter or girfriend/wife never gets home after someone droned the wedding they were attending.

    What would you do?

Now multiply that with x200. F. unbelievable how these people behave, and I say that without any religious beliefs. When it comes to their children and wives their thirst for revenge knows no boundaries.

So I say f you all, get out of the middle east and fights your "wars" for peace that only create violence and chaos somewhere else.

    • yeah i don't support these wars. but my friends girl was raped on the new years eve. 3-4 people where around her speaking the same language, just to rape her.sted
    • and the f face wasn't aware the fact that her phone uploads the images to dropbox and made plenty photos after the event. none of them is european :(sted
    • she can't share any of the images because of "human rights".sted
    • this is how you behave in a country where you try a fresh start.sted
    • awefulIRNlun6
    • yet, you have no empathy for the reason that drove most of these people here, if they were left alone in their country maybe just maybe they would not havegeorgesIII
    • oh man, u don't know :) I wanted to hire people when this crap started, but they don't want to live in Hungary :( now i see why.sted

Like Georges pointed out Syriah > Ukraine > Yemen > Libya > Irak > Afghanistan > Iran > Sudan > Somalia, etc...

The West, and not just the US, has been swinging wildly all over the world, so it's hard to believe that the possibility of massive migrations like this along with culture clashes didn't raise any alarms. It's possible, but I find it hard to believe world leaders with all their access to wealth, power, and intelligence didn't even consider this as a possibility like many warned.

There's a lot of blame to go around but let's be honest here. It's not simply just the west. It's naive to think that the many repressive regimes aren't equally as culpable in their greed and violent conquest. These wars have sure as shit made things worse but it's not like people in some of these countries share the same values. Respect for woman is a big one and that's not just because 'merica.

Look Islam is a shit religion. Full of bigots, Misogynists and racists.

Maybe in America thy love the lord Jesus, but on the whole Europe is increasingly secular with clear divisions between state and church.

Islam and Islamism is incompatible with liberal democracy and always has been.

If they think they can import their 16th century fuckwittery they are going to be in for a rude shock.

    • bullshitBeeswax
    • "they" "import" lol... where do you live? Muslims arrived en masse in the 50,60,70s in the UK from an open invitation... ffs.fadein11
    • I'm not getting into this one again... what are the rules on racist remarks on here again?fadein11

Why is there Islamophobia in the West?

Cultural differences provoke ignorance – the first level of the problem. But false propaganda cultivates hate. Long before Islamaphobia, US-led ‘anti-communism’ murdered millions in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Latin America. Before that, European Nazism was assisted by US transnational corporations against the ‘communist threat’ – which meant, decoded, whatever stood in the way of the transnational corporate fascism already building the perpetual war system on which it still thrives and grows today. After fascist Germany and Japan were defeated, the now militarily supreme US, led by corporate Nazi partners in the US never named or prosecuted, carried on the global pogroms to holocaust proportions. So-called ‘communists’ were everywhere slandered, persecuted and warred upon even where they did not exist – a global holocaust that killed tens of millions of people and ruined as many lives.

In short, the cornerstone of US ideology is its designated Enemy – whatever opposes private corporate globalization. The genocide of first peoples was its original stage. Islamaphobia is one more variation on the theme. Ironically, ‘Islam’ as armed jihad –the main hate object now – has been a creation and instrument of covert-state US policy. It has been for decades an admitted US asset in advancing the bi-partisan project of ‘full spectrum dominance’ of the world. Back in the 1980’s, jihadi mass murder and mayhem were orchestrated and funded by the US to destroy a secular Afghan state led by equality for women and social guarantees [...] http://www.globalresearch.ca/glo…

Gangs of Arabic and North African migrants celebrated New Year’s Eve with a slew of sexual assaults on German women. Police only arrested five men during the chaotic night, which included brawling men who also launched fireworks into crowds of revelers.

    • solution is to gender segregate german society like islam.hotroddy
    • the german police was more interested in celebrating the new years eve than pay attention to people. f. they shot firecrackers at each other in the crowd :(sted
    • This is barely getting any attention here in the US. Almost as if it will just go away if it's not spoken about. Things are going to get very ugly over there.IRNlun6
    • From what I've read, there's been cuts and layoffs in the police force in Germany so they where completely overwhelmed.IRNlun6
    • anyone commenting here was in germany, or you're just spewing the 100 different theories about that night?georgesIII

    Why single out Islam?

I dunno maybe all these murders carried out in the name of that religion perhaps?

The fact that pretty much no Islamic country has come out and condemns them?

Maybe it's just the fact that the Islamic religion subjugates women and homosexuals?

Or maybe its because Mullah's are still preaching hate and intolerance in the UK today?

Maybe it's because people just have a increasing intolerance to those that denounce the laws and cultures of their adopted home nation?

But, I think it's probably because most people like me thought that over the last 60 years we had managed to separate religion from the state, brought down the influence of the church on the lives of the people of western countries.

We don't want to see the influence of one religion on public life to be replaced by another.

Also, whilst religions are universally a bit sucky, Islam seems to be pretty blind to the fact that it is it's responsibility to put it's own house in order.

I think that is what annoys people, it does me. The lack of action.

The defence seems to be (often) "Don't single us out, look at those Jews or Catholics, they are just as bad".

Saying you're the worst amongst a bad lot doesn't seem to be a strong negotiating position.

    • lol, change Islam to Catholic, you'll see how retarded your point is, Every US president have to come up publicly and say they believe in God, but we don'tgeorgesIII
    • accuse all of the Christina countries of bombing for religion, no you rather hide it on some bullshit humanitarian missions and feel superior when in fact, georgesIII

Can someone very easily tell me what Germany and other EU countries hope to accomplish with this? Because certainly they are not going to get many, if any, of these immigrants to assimilate into society and harmoniously blend in with the German population.

All I'm seeing are videos and photos of young men, terrible behavior, terrible conditions, and lots of worry from the citizens themselves.

1st some members of EU are also responsible for the crisis (the ones that followed USA into Irak war).
