Why did Musk HAVE to buy Twitter at all? I keep seeing articles saying that he had to go through with the purchase. WHY?
- My guess is power and influence. Twitter is a huge platform for influence in general, and it gives him power by owning it and all that data. My 2cmonospaced

There's plenty of 'twitter-like' apps on those learn to code courses, can't be that hard... a bit of ruby on rails, react and an AWS server.
A catchy logo/brand name... and here's something novel - they could even try to make a return on the investment! Right?

No one was more skeptical than I - but his decisions this week have shown he really *can* put a social network on the path to unprecedented success.
