Yesterday I was telling my wife that I had realized and assumed that we’ll be facing at least 2 more months living this way. Meaning: home office, staying inside unless it’s really necessary, no kindergarten, no park, no gatherings... kids at home... LIFE at home.
it’s been something I really assumed a couple of days ago. It will clearly depend on what country you live in, what job you do, and how determined you are to stay home to cooperate if you’re able to. But it’s no joke. It’s quite a big chunk of the year spent at home.
I hope it doesn’t affect my mind. I’m handling it pretty well so far. But it’s seriously concerning to think about “quarantine” for months.
- Good luck with the "2 months" thing, I'm afraid that this confinement will last longerOBBTKN

Apparently:
"Virus is disrupting the hemoglobin’s oxygen capacity. It is attacking our BLOOD first, not the lungs. It is NOT a respiratory ailment (primarily), lung breakdown symptoms are a consequence of the attack on blood hemoglobins. Hypoxia is happening BEFORE lungs are affected."
in other words "this paper suggests that the virus permanantly de-oxiginates blood, which later impacts lungs."

My conspiracy theory goes like this. Russia in conjunction with China, decided to create this virus in Chinese labs with the intent to disrupt and ultimately destroy the US and western Europe’s economies.
China sacrificed a few thousand deaths by releasing the virus -knowing they would control it later with a Wuhan style lockdown. The plan is to allow China and Russia to rule the world. They even brought in the Mexican cartels who will be able to supply drugs to the rest of the world living in misery under Russian and Chinese rule.
- In this theory Is Trump a willing participant?Ramanisky2
- Also Africa will be their cash cow as far as natural resources are concerned.HijoDMaite
- No, Trump is totally clueless to it. The entire western democracies are cluelessHijoDMaite
- Shit I forgot about the Saudis in this theory lol. I’ll update when I figure their angle out.HijoDMaite
- What is ruling the world? USA has nukes and the biggest military and all the tech companies and middle class white people.********

- Like good ol easy Rider sted? Too lazy to find a gif.********
- As much as I want to believe this, China would also have risked destroying their economy entirely and maybe the end of CCP regime.NBQ00
- More likely the virus escaped the Wuhan lab where Coronavirus/ bats was experimented with and the CCP tried to cover up as much as possibleNBQ00
- Hijo: the Saudis enter into this with the oil price war. Russia can afford to play the long game there, SA need to cash out ASAP.Continuity
- but if they did that, they'd have some sort of vaccine. otherwise they are shooting themselves in the foot.shapesalad

Anthony Fauci’s security is stepped up as doctor and face of U.S. coronavirus response receives threats
Fauci has become a public target for some right-wing commentators and bloggers, who exercise influence over parts of the president’s base. As they press for the president to ease restrictions to reinvigorate economic activity, some of these figures have assailed Fauci and questioned his expertise.

Still no toilet paper. This is so lame. Now, I will go hunting for it.
After four weeks and 10 markets checked...
Lame, lame, lame... It feels so odd to have to go search for tp.

France 86% in Mild Condition
Iran 87% in Mild Condition
United Kingdom 99% in Mild Condition
South Korea 99% in Mild Condition
Netherlands 91% in Mild Condition
Sweden 91% in Mild Condition
Norway 98% in Mild Condition
Australia 99% in Mild ConditionWhy the differences?

- 99% of known cases... could just mean more people going to hospital for minor cases (earlier in spread, more testing of young people)kingsteven

- CCP are the liars. Chinese population on a whole are in the same boat as all of us, wondering what the f is going on and when it can get back to normal.shapesalad
- exactly shape. and tbh most claims (other than the handling of the initial outbreak, which only really implicates the CCP in Wuhan) are conspiracy.kingsteven

I'm not wholly sure it was worth the human cost, but if there's one benefit from all this mess, it was the absolute lack of limp-arse April Fool's jokes I experienced yesterday.
Just wondering how we can balance things out for future years - what human cost might we be willing to accept to stop shitty April Fools going forward?
1 life? 10? 1,000? Luxembourg?

I'd sacrifice Belgium for a decade free of April Fool's jokes online.Nairn - How can we arrange this?
