A real question IMO is whether the current GOP is so far gone that just electing them to Congress will lead to a crisis.
Possibly an early sign of this, even with the support of Trump and the Majorie Taylor Greene woman, Kevin McCarthy who is really the only viable candidate for House speaker, is still struggling to get enough votes to be elected. Because another even more extreme group of Republicans refuses to vote for him no matter what. They don't have any particular demands but are just refusing to.
