Was that interview career ending for Biden?

I still think the smartest thing to do would be for Democrats to replace Biden at the convention. People are saying you have to convince Biden to step down but the delegates at the convention can technically vote for another candidate.
Apparently this is unthinkable for some Democrats but that's exactly the problem...Republicans are lining up behind an aspiring dictator, the Supreme Court is gutting the government's regulatory powers but replacing an 81 year old is just too crazy.
I guess it's good that Democrats are dedicated to following the rules and institutions but they're way too cautious at a time when the other side doesn't follow any rules at all.

- biden that old fox is playing trumpo loco like a trumpet...neverscared
- lol, that would be nice if it was true but I don't think anyone's driving the car. There's no upside to that debate performance unless Biden himself wants toyuekit
- drop out.yuekit
- no,no no don´t darken around with dark brandon... he has thought this all fru....neverscared
- That's the problem, it doesn't look like they know how to turn things around. The debate was a huge unforced error so who's to say there won't be more disastersyuekit
- I think Joe might drop out. He’s already “discussing it” with family.CyBrainX

Democratic donors are turning against Biden

I think you just have to embrace the disruption and go with a different candidate. It's actually a unique opportunity to nominate someone who is the most politically strong and qualified candidate without going through the primary. This can make a huge difference in terms of Democrats winning back Congress etc.
The best candidate would probably be a governor in their 40s or 50s...then you create a big contrast with Trump who will be as old as Biden currently is in office if he's elected again.

Imagine if one of these people was the candidate instead of Biden...
They can literally talk and form complete sentences. It would be a completely different race and probably a landslide for the Democrats.

Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself. Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit. Last night didn’t change that, and it’s why so much is at stake in November
- Exactly the kind of thing you'd say while secretly orchestrating Biden's removal behind the scenes...yuekit
- exactly..All warfare is based on deception.neverscared
- i think its the deception of the deception.... the preconstructed narrative for dark brandon has so many branches...neverscared
- the same Biden who sided with Reagan to utterly destroy spending on social programs that irrevocably harmed ordinary folks? Even to this day?face_melter
- or the Biden who helped push through Three Strikes which made prison numbers skyrocket because the law directly affected ordinary folk?face_melter
- or the Biden who sat and ate ice cream with Barry while the banks were bailed out and left ordinary folk with no recourse against corporate greed and theft?face_melter
- he's a fucking hollow husk of a man and now, with Palestine, we can add genocide to his list of accomplishments that supposedly help 'ordinary folks'.face_melter
- He's basically like the Forrest Gump of establishment American policies. In the 80s people liked Reagan, in the 90s they wanted tough on crime...yuekit
- all the things u are yodeling around are unimportant at this stageneverscared
- In the 00s Americans wanted to go bomb the Middle East...and at each step along the way Biden was there reflecting the conventional wisdom.yuekit

Painful though it was, Biden and his people are still better and more capable of running the country than Trump and his muppets.
At least Biden can step aside and let capable people do the work, Trump just gets in there, makes it about him and fucks everything up. Trump’s a fucking disaster.
- Yet another compelling reason to go out and vote! “Vote for Biden, he’ll let someone else do the job” lulznb
- Mind-boggling how people are still defending this candidatenb
- That’s what a democracy is, isn’t it? By the people? Not one dude? Not a king or a dictator? Let the people who actually run the country run it._niko
- Do we bet on athletics or cheer for our teams based on the coach or manager? Never, it’s all about the team._niko
- You're right but Americans don't see it that way, they think one guy literally runs everything. So unfortunately you can't just ignore the politics aspect of ityuekit
- Biden has shown that even though he's basically a ghost at this point, the mechanics still run okay. Because Obama is secretly running things LOLPhanLo
- Major decisions come down to ONE MAN— not a fucking team. There is one person who says 'yes—do it' or 'no'. That one man is currently feeble af. I hear you, nb.abizzyman

- Leader sets the tone. Hires and fires directly and indirectlynb
- Shame they can't quickly replace Joe :/PonyBoy
- ALSO if you’re saying the president himself isn’t super important, I guess it’s ok if Trump gets elected? Other people will run the country right?nb
- I think my point is, as bad as Biden is at this point, he's still wayyyy better than Trump. or Trump is wayyyyy worse than Biden s a leader._niko
- so yeah a commentary on Trump being less capable than a corpse._niko
- The Federal Government is composed of three distinct branches: legislative, executive, and judicial, whose powers are vested by the U.S. Constitutionwhatthefunk
- in the Congress, the President, and the Federal courts, respectively. Trump would pardon all GOP who break laws, Biden will follow the law. Big difference.whatthefunk
- But you know this...whatthefunk
- @PhanLo Although people joke about that, I was reading that Obama and Biden aren't actually that close behind the scenes.yuekit

- @yuekit, ah yeah Big Bazza has loads more stuff to be getting on with, he's still young enough to enjoy his money.PhanLo
- Someone like this guy is probably more like the real person running things (who no Americans ever heard of).

Even if Biden wins the election, he would almost certainly face a crisis over his age at some point in the second term.
So why not solve the problem now and put someone in place who can beat Trump and would then be set up to govern for the next eight years? Trump will probably be dead by the time they finish their second term and we'll finally be done with all this nonsense.

- Even Bill Clinton who got 2 mandates is younger than these two
Smhgrafician - Biden would have to resign for this to be feasible ...ASAPPonyBoy
- He just needs to say he's not running for reelection. Then delegates at the convention in late August can vote for whoever they want.yuekit

Why didn't you dum dums vote for Bernie Sanders in the past 2 elections?
Coz he had less campaign fundings?- because sanders would have lost against trump ...neverscared
- Sanders is older than Biden.yuekit
- Sanders can still put words together that make senseGnash
- Don’t recall seeing Bernie on the ballot when I votednb

It was a mistake, Biden shouldn't be there. And he won't get better in the next 4 years.

New York Times Editorial Board headline:
“To Serve His Country, President Biden Should Leave The Race”
Hey Joe, are you still reading the paper? Because k think your trusted advisors and the party are all lying to you.
