Started playing with it but haven't been able to figure out how you can upload a pic to base the "drawing" on. Let's say I wanted to upload a pic of myself so it uses exactly the photo but applies the different styles to it. Possible?
- nope. midjourney is not built for that.uan
- look up "Neural Style Transfer". It's an older algorithm that does that.uan
- I think mj interprets image uploads as part of the prompt...'reads' the image and uses this info as part of the prompt.uan
- wombo now has the option to upload your image:
https://app.wombo.ar…rzu-rzu - maybe this helps: https://prompt.noons…grafician
- but you just write /imagine prompt: "url_to_img_to_use" words to describe style, [modifiers] --v 3 or somethinggrafician
- and this: https://midjourney.g…grafician
- "Midjourney does not currently offer the ability to use a starting image, due to concerns about community public content."imbecile
- Midjourney subscriptions can be private for $20/month :)grafician
- You can upload an image to Discord, and use them as a base image in MJ. Then simply use the URL in your prompt.PioneerDJ303
- you can't use an image in the prompt, url yes. uploaded image, not that I can see, graf, your reading comprehension is off.imbecile
- @imbecile Why don't you actually just read what I posted above and stop shitpostinggrafician
- Ramanisky20
- What's the outcome when prompting uncommon perspectives? Say being the size of an ant on this desert looking out. Is there enough reference for the AI?BabySnakes
- it's gonna get there BabySnakes. Once the interpretation of the language model knows enough enough about scale, it can prompt the image model to render it.uan
- even if the image render model has training on ant perspective images.uan
- *no training.uan

- Get Phil Noto vibes off these.PhanLo
- Damn. Glad I am not an illustrator!formed
- @formed how so? These give you just a "mood", nothing final to be used profesionally in a projectgrafician
- Looks pretty fucking final to me.mathinc
- Yeah no, the weird visual artifacts, lack of symmetry, unfinished look common to ALL AI images. These kinda work because OUR minds fill between the lines...grafician
- Visual artifacts and lack of symmetry are also present in original work and nature.monospaced
- And yes these look like final work no doubt. Not just mood. Lol.monospaced
- And MJ is getting better every single day, tests going on are crazy good.johnny_wobble
- @graf why not? These look pretty damn sophisticated to me. What would an illustrator charge to draw there? Yeah, illustration will be (mostly) dead soon.formed
- Bro most real artists spend hours and days on details and you dare to say these generated images are finished? These are sketches with colors at bestgrafician
- But sure, lots of people can't draw so these appear amazing to themgrafician
- Even if not 100% finished, someone with a little talent can take these into photoshop and finish them off. I know a lot of digital painters who use AI ..microkorg
- ..to create 'models' that they then paint. Saves hiring someone, saves sketch after sketch..microkorg
- "Saves hiring someone" aaah yes there you have it, the argument
so if someone can't afford to hire an artist, then he discredits and replaces the field? :))grafician - graf, not all artists make everything perfect. Imperfections are the hallmark of hand illustration. And this isn’t because I can’t draw.monospaced
- These definitlu resemble finished work. Way beyond sketches in color.monospaced

- Pretty, but so sad.formed
- I thought it was limited to 1080x1080px. If his AI goes beyond this size then AI is getting interesting...SimonFFM
- @Simon yes the different models output web size images, but for print some of these can be upscaled (because these artworks don't have details)grafician
- with something like this: https://www.upscale.…grafician
- I'd like to see the other entries to see if they looked good at all. I was in a jury once and only ugly stuff had been submitted.SimonFFM
- For upscaling would recommend Topaz software. It's insane! Simon, you should check it out for photography, they also do denoise and sharpen too.microkorg

- Yes, for the art directors is very welcomed to churn concepts easily
Problem are the "AI artists" that never drawn something and now they think are the shitgrafician

Instagram is getting flooded with "AI artists". I see photographers and others who completely switched to only posting Midjourney generated pieces instead of their usual stuff.
- Oh My God!palimpsest
- I've seen a lot of talented illustrators ditching their usual graft and switching to low-effort AI posts. Sad.microkorg
- Yes, my Explore is now 90% "AI artists" instead of the usual painters and illustrators and graphic designers - some accounts have hundreds of posts alreadygrafician
- but all their posts look the same - mostly fantasy or cyberpunk inspired shit, it's kinda the same "artist" and these people just repost him somehow very weirdgrafician
- One Photographer I saw had like on average 100-150 likes on his posts. When he switched to AI posts he got like 5K-10K+ likes. lolNBQ00
- Just pay "artists" by the hour.palimpsest

MidJourney VS Stable Diffusion: Same Prompt, Different Results
If you’re anything like me, you’re always on the lookout for new and interesting AI art generator tools. They are popping up like mushrooms on the internet these days.
Two of my latest favorite tools right now are MidJourney and Stable Diffusion.
Over the past few months, MidJourney text-to-art AI tool has had several significant improvements. The results are now more detailed and portrait’s face features are now more proportional.
