Ran into an old coworker on the street who I haven't seen since 2009 and nice chat and she brought up something I emailed about in like 2010, which was probably the last time we spoke.

I just ran into a friend that's been sober for a while this weekend I haven't seen in a year and has become addicted to working out. Good god that was a shocking and sad sight to see. All skin an bones -- she's already vegan, and now she works out a good 8 hours a day. She's gotta weigh around 100 pounds or less. Being that she's 30 something, the only reason she even has time to work out that much is because her family is super rich. She's a really sweet girl and a lot of how her life is set up isn't her fault, so I'm worried and feel a little bad for her. It doesn't seem like anyone's going to step in an make her get a real full time job or take care of herself. IDK why parents think putting money on a problem solves anything unless they're incredibly unengaged parents to begin with.
