Took a cab home from the airport last night after getting home from Colorado. Cab driver was from Jordan. We first talked about mountains and snowboarding, then he started telling me about how he could have been a horse jockey, then, as we talked about kids he asked if we wanted a boy next.
He then pretty much spent the next 15 minutes explaining sex to me, using horse racing metaphors to explain the differences between male and female sperm, talking about thrusting, using hand gestures, and even stood outside the cab when he dropped me off telling me to make sure to tell my wife about all this great advice.
Horribly surreal.
- female sperm?sarahfailin
- Well, did you try it?Maaku
- He was trying to say that sperm has the ability to carry male or female chromosomes, but I don't think he knew that word.mg33
- Hahahaha. Wow.monospaced
- It was really weird, especially how long he went on and on about it.mg33

My neighbors across from me are arguing everyday. The mom is loud and sounds like a shoe horn. I hate it when they bring it to the dam hallway.

I miss going to art school :(

- Cheap piece of glass pane, mounted on cardboard and taped edges. Really smooth surface good for mixing and keeping clean. I liked that with palette knifes.IRNlun6
- plexi works just fine********
- This was 20 years ago. Plexi wasn't so great with palette scrapper that used razor blades. Easier to remove old oil paint to avoid dry chunks in fresh paint.IRNlun6
- I like that plexi weighs less and costs next to nothing********

Was walking through central park today over lunch, and I heard a thump. I looked over and a squirrel must have fell off a tree. It was making awkward movements with it's arms, and layed there for impending death. The flies started to gather around.

As I work from home I've found that I'm twice if not three times as productive if I put on a pair of shoes and socks rather than wear flops, just socks or let my dew-beaters go commando.

You meet a friend of a friend of a friend at an art opening who works at cool agency, you hear their office might be hiring and get their contact info.
You send your info and a few days go by and no response at all.
What do you do?
- i'd wait at least a week before checking in and confirming that he/she received ur info. waiting sucks. good luck.bezoar

Went to electronics store to do some website testing on a variety of computers. PCs make all type look thin and bland and the colors are weak. In 2016 PCs should display color and type as well as Mac.

I've seen a few users asking about how to go after a job interview or after sending your resume. Some people will go nuts after a week if they don't hear back from the agency that is hiring.
Agencies that need someone ASAP will do exactly that, hire someone as soon as possible. (see what I did there?)
Not an expert, but I've been there and this is what you can do:
• After the first week, send a follow-up email
• After 2 weeks and you still haven't heard from them I hope you have other interviews elsewhere coz you will go nuts waiting.
• 3 weeks in and you're still waiting for an answer, just move on.
Hiring someone takes time, specially if the position you are applying to is being recently created.
If they are replacing someone that left or got fired, that can be faster but sometimes the agency see that as an opportunity to cut back on budget for 2 or 3 months (or so) unless they REALLY need a replacement.Just my two cents...
- legit. i have gotten jobs after placing a phone call in the first week to the person hiring/supervising and expressing my 'sincere interest' and qualificationssarahfailin
- yup, it takes weeks to gather portfolios, review them, narrow them down and schedule interviews with so many people.monospaced

- Can you download albums locally with Spotify?
- Are the file DRMd?- You can save albums/songs to play offline.
Im not sure where the files are stored though.Al_dizzle - ^ yup. It would be too easy if they let everyone download the albums locally
it stays in your app somehow.Maaku - I see. Apple Music let you download locally. But all tracks are protected, you need to login to read them.Bennn

The motorcyclists are out, and desperate for attention on my block. Nightly.
- I have a motorbike. I must say, I fucking hate loud motorbikes.nb

- you might be right terrycbklyndroobeki
- I had a load of stickers I kept in my pocket that said "The louder the bike, the smaller the dick. You have a very loud bike" that I'd stick on neighbours bikesdetritus
- The idiots who race around my house at ridiculous RPMs did not get loud pipes to save their lives.nb
- I live on a street that is has a super fun hill for riding, so guys are racing on it all summer long, every night when traffic dies down.nb
- #bikerlivesmattersarahfailin
- I understand why you're irritated but you can't see bikes a lot of the time, you can sure hear them though. It's a safety thing********
- For a few, maybe. But I see guys with loud pipes racing, or not doing up their helmets, or riding in shorts. There is no way they can make the safety argument.nb

Here are my radical libertarian (or not?!) thoughts:
Where most libertarians on the right/conservative side of the spectrum, I find myself on the left side of it. As far as what I would implement if were I given the power, I would immediately make it a crime to charge interest on any and all loans (eliminating usury), as well as remove the current debts of society. Similar to how it was back in the day. In my opinion, this would greatly improve our society's wealth and would be the quickest way for the underprivileged to catch up with society. It would naturally bring us closer in terms of social balance and facilitate prosperity for all. I truly believe we should be teaching kids in school the global financial system, the basics of money creation and sound money policy (both historical and present), alongside free market economics. This would be a fast way to get the next generation moving on our main problems, and create a fair currency system, or maybe even potentially make banking a function of government. I'm not necessarily against government, and understand limited government is somewhat hypothetical, I just truly believe in liberty as I see the main problems in the world are, at the root, usually caused by money, and slavery (which is important to note that usury is a form of slavery), or the results thereof bad money or slavery
I really don't have any libertarian friends and just need some insight and feedback.
- as well i forgot to mention, we need to make law that money cannot be treated as a commodity on wall street.bliznutty
- I think you have a point on the nature of usry, but somehow it doesnt sound libertarian as soon as you said lets make a law.yurimon
- aside from the usry comment, banks used to compete and create currency n compete with other banks. libertarian ideas are more along light or no regulationyurimon
- that interfere with markets. a good book on the subjectyurimon
- http://www.amazon.co…yurimon
- libertarianism i think tries to solve the issue of force, coercion in a system and the threat of force to compel action. volunteer society which is the core ofyurimon
- the foundations of liberty. it does this by attempting to reflect historical on what has worked, nature of society, markets vs central planning, etc.yurimon
- some people see it as social Darwinism. it has that aspect of competition but at the same time thats when we most excel. of course society has to compassionateyurimon
- in the right way. i see no issue in helping people, if someone falls on hard times, willing to work. mistakes happen. just a question of what is the best way.yurimon
- noone would grant loans/impossible to take loans, complete industry paralysisdrgs
- drgs, maybe you are right, then again - interest is not necessarily the sole reason for investment, and investors still have opportunity to gain w/o interestbliznutty
- thanks for the input yuri. i will check out that book, i've already read 'a creature from jeckyll island', which led me to these solutions i suggestbliznutty

At what time in the QBN universe timeline did "like no one" become "like no other"?
