I have this “big regret” feeling inside of me today and it’s not that I regret not holding Bitcoin from 2015. I was taking a walk/ hike in the woods earlier today and a cute girl crossed my path. She smiled at me and said hi. I continued walking and the longer I kept walking the more regret I had that I didn’t approach her, saying that she’s cute and asking her if she’d give me her number. I should’ve turned around and walked up to her but I didn’t want to be creepy. I’m sure she wouldn’t have minded but I was a wuss. Now I won’t see her ever again.

I was taking a walk/ hike in the woods earlier today and some random guy crossed my path. He was looking at me, too. It was kinda creepy and I was alone in the woods so I said "hi" without really thinking about it. It was kind of a gut reaction, I guess a defense mechanism. I've heard that if you say hello to an attacker they are less likely to attack you. I mean this guy was probably just some normal dude but after years of dealing with men I know it's better to be safe than sorry. And I was alone. Anyway when i said hi I could see in his eyes light up like he wanted to ask me out. It was super creepy. I don't want to meet a fucking stranger in the woods. I continued walking and the longer I kept walking the more regret I had that I said 'hi' to him at all. Being a woman is terrifying.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: HUGE live event hosted by the agency I work for. Top-notch client. We’ve done this in real life (like: huge arena, stage, hosts and shit) many times. This will be the first 100% virtual thing we’ve ever made.
I should be working non-stop, w/o sleep in Monaco or something like that, doing last moment tweaks in some fuck-face’s pres, but instead, I’m working non-stop, w/o sleep doing a global 260 slide deck for webex, w last moment tweaks, for +10 fuck-heads.
Fuck this! I rather be an asshole IRL than in a webex call.

Happy to spill the beans now, it was in an amazing private - very short but not closed - Paris street entirely designed by architect Mallet-Stevens in the late 1920s, and in one of the 2 buildings I love the most there.

Day 1 of the live event hosted by the agency I work for was.. good. We nailed almost everything. Just a couple of no-big-deal PPT slides that were not supposed to be in Calibri, and one HUGE fail: a 3D audio created for a specific momentum that was streamed in plain Mono. The moderator forgot to switch to Stereo before hand. Oh, and BTW, ZOOM backgrounds: some of the shittiest, overvalued, useless, dog-cheap things I've ever seen. They glitch no matter if the streamer is bald, has an afro, is a peacock, is a polygon. It simply sucks.

Been trying to learn how to do social media in 2021 and feeling like a fake tryhard fool the whole time but just trying to get my music heard / make some connections. Started new job and the team are about 25% into a big project, they have settled on a creative route and got the client onboard. It worked in the little 'preview' they did, but as we fill out this big project and try to communicate the nuances of the content with this limited creative route, it's just becoming a dogs dinner.
I just can't think of design solutions when the end result is a turd.
But this is what the others in the team are churning out. Staggering eye sores of turds all bashed together mincing up the original clean creative route. Non of it works as an elegant design solution to communicate the content. Instead it's all awkward and ugly in its communication.
All I want to do is trash everything done so far and start again over with a new creative solution, route, design language and visual approach that is more suitable for the content. I even worked one up, it's so simple to find a route that would work.
But I can't show this to the team, or derail it... it's too late, they sold their route to the client and they are 25% along with the project.
I'm barely getting anything done working from home as i just can't bare to look at this turd.
Man it's hard to think of ugly design solution. Every time the team upload new stuff I'm take aback "oh this is what they are doing with this creative route... no wonder I can't think of any ideas... My god! my eyes, my eyes!"
Unfortunately... I have to go with the herd here and churn out turds...

Fatherly frustration!
11-year-old Son wants to give up soccer (sorry, futbol). The last few years he's realized he's not the fastest/best and now he makes excuses not to even try. He went from the lead kid in the laps to one of the last. 'My leg hurts', 'my back hurts' etc.
After a year of quarantine and sedentary life and he's even more reluctant to play this Spring. His mom and I aren't sports super stars but we still want him to move his body. Also, he's a smart player and he does have potential. I feel like he needs to get out of his head and just have fun. Where is this switch located?
Is this a battle to fight or just throw in the towel? Find another sport? (not Rocket League or Fortnite).
