- I find getting out and about and moving helps. Meditation too. And social interactions, especially when I feel like turning inwards and shutting out the world.mort_
- This is merely a moment. Remember the awesome moments to get you out of these bad ones. (helps when I'm down)timeless

FontExplorerX Pro 2 years old...not really working in Catalina.
No font previews.
Fonts shown as not installed in Adobe.
Adobe Plugins outdated.
Illustrator goes weird when opening. It seems after two years I have to buy the most recent version of the software.
No discount.I can afford the 100€ but if it's going to be like this...damn!
I could install fonts directly in user fonts folder in Library but do I want to have all the fonts installed all the time?
No!Damn it!
- Ah! Wait, I can upgrade now!!! Just 50 bucks!oey_oey
- I stopped using "Font Explorer" all together a few years when I started having major font conflicts. I've been using "Font Book" ever since with zero problems.utopian
- Why not use FontBase instead?
https://fontba.se/grafician - Ah, interesting. Thanksoey_oey

i don't know how many of your have come out of lockdown to entirely unrecognisable worlds...went to the bar tonight to mourn a friend and it was really horrible. queueing for the toilet i mistook a lad in his mid 20s for a guy i knew (prob in his late 40s now) and after he explained to me politely that he didn't know me because i'm older than his parents i just continued the conversation i would have had anyway - like the senile ladies that would mistake me for the vickers son when visiting relatives in the old folks home...
anyway, he didn't have a clue who asa chang and junray were and then 5 dublin lads bust out of the toilet cubicle in very good form and i had a satisfactory piss

1/4 into a well paid ad gig and I already want to quit.
Trying to bite the bullet and put things into perspective, in a way I'm very lucky but I don't know how much more of this shallowness I can take...
- Listening to Erik Satie seems to help, a bit of greatness to balance things outspl33nidoru
- If you want to quit... You're not luckyOBBTKN
- ad gigs and shallowness ... a match made in heaven. get that money, be shallow, move on :)monospaced
- Right. There's usually a point in these projects where you've spent enough time eating that shit up that it's no longer disgusting but sort of amusing. Soon!spl33nidoru

My sister dropped round some kidney shaped cupcakes, it's been a year since she had a successful kidney transplant.
Initially I was meant to give her one of mine, but lockdown meant that was delayed and she ended up getting a kidney from a deceased donor, (A young woman who was only 21).Her new kidney is functioning well, almost as good as 2 kidneys so she's in a much better place than a year and a half ago when she was doing dialysis 3 days a week.
If it wasn't for lockdown she wouldn't have been at the top of the list for a transplant.
- Happy to hear to PhanLO:)utopian

If you were a rich dude building your own house, you'd put a urinal in your en-suite bathroom right?
It seems obvious to me but you never see/hear it.
Am I nuts? Up or Down vote me.- No, I'm not a pleb.Nairn
- Almost every bathroom I've ever been in has a urinal. It's a called a "sink" look it upnb
- ^ Debatable, Ya welly knitter.Hayzilla
- why would you waste time standing when you can sit?uan
- I'd just go with diapersspl33nidoru
- urinal? the pile of clothes in the corner has worked for yearsfuturefood
- Piss in a bucket, then mark your property lines with your tinklestoplying
- I'd have multiple machicolations around my penthouse, through which I could piss out of, onto the plebs below.Nairn
- piss bottlerenderedred
- I think people avoid this because it makes it harder to sell later.monospaced
- Just piss in a 500ml drinks bottle and leave it on the kerb like Uber Drivers.shapesalad
- Just piss everywhere you like and buy a new house.pango
- If I was rich enough I would pay someone to sit in the bathroom and piss in their mouth. Actually, I would get them to pay me.face_melter

I've recently been given a nice vintage 1960's Harmony Sovereign acoustic guitar and so have decided get into Folk music.
There are some nice melodies hidden in some of the old pieces:
- you get a 2 for 1 with this one... my mum is from near the moorlough shore and my dad near salley gardens and the latter set to the tune of the former ;-)kingsteven

So I came back yesterday after a week's vacation and I see 2 police cars parked in front of my block, then I found this old man upstairs died a week ago and they just found him .. he was the nicest old man I knew .. but very lonely without any family .. the upstairs neighbor reported an unpleasant smell a week after his death ... when they came to collect the corpse, they were unable to put them on a stretcher because the body was full of worms, so they put him in a sack and dragged him down the stairs...

- Karcher action?
I have to do the decking this year.
How'd your legs fare in spray levels?PhanLo - yeah that's an aldi karcher removing the paint what was meant to cover that slab. i hope you were careful with that at the edgessted
- because it sticks to the white wall with the water and creates gray spots.sted

- @mono, Washer MUST be over 2500PSI or you’ll be cleaning an inch at a time. The GPM should also be 2.4 minimum, better to be 3gpm or moreGnash
- If you are comparing models, multiply the PSI by the GPM, and use that figure to compare. Higher is betterGnash
- it was a friend who lent it to me, it just uses water but boy what a difference - will show before/afters but this may take a week!Gardener
- gotta wear goggles/wellies it's messy and there is splashbackGardener
- ^ that’s what she saidGnash
- and yes it is a KarcherGardener
- I hope you didn't draw a big willie with it as people who make that mistake end up with that shape on their slabs forever hehe.PhanLo

My wife called me into the dining room today in a sort of serious tone. I walk in and she shows me our mortgage account on her laptop where it shows a balance of around $1100 and she's smiling. She proceeds to tell me that she's been selling her stocks and has been making payments on the house with the money she's made from that. As I'm picking my jaw up off the floor, she tells me that she's on her way to make the last payment. The last payment!
She has stayed home with our boys and hasn't had a job for 8 years now, but she's always made the most of it helping with their schoolwork, teaching them another language, swimming, sports, all while I work - and doing it all sensibly from a money standpoint. Our house is not big, or lavish but it's ours and I can't fucking believe we own it!

- She seems like a keeper. I'd have been tempted to leave more in stocks to let it build but can't argue with mortgage-free, mine took me the 25 years.comicsans
- Thats great news but with mortgage rates so low your money is probably better in the market right now. I'm not a financial advisor, I just play one online.fooler
