"General Motors said Monday it is cutting 15 percent of its salaried North American workforce, ending production of some slow-selling vehicles and halting production at several plants."

Good thing they got bailed out and had their taxes slashed, otherwise they might choose to act like dicks! They say they want to focus on making electric cars, so why can't they just retrain their current workforce?

    • bailing them out was a waste of taxpayer money. GM shoulda been left to bankkrupt and go away a loooong time ago.chukkaphob

It's somewhat troubling that Mueller is still investigating.

I can't stand Trump('s personality) and hope he's brought to justice if he DID engage in collusion. But one would think by now Mueller should have a smoking gun or nada.

It's been such a loooong time investigating.

This is not a good look for the nation or the world as it's watching the US "investigate" .

Why are this guy and his team unable to investigate in a timely manner?! WTF is going on here?

    • It's been only 18 months. Mueller took on several investigations. There have been dozens of indictments and eight guilty pleas. Manafort's in prison.monospaced

    @mono

Since you have presented no individual thought of your own on my thoughts why embarassingly mocking them I'll go forth and break them down. Second law of thermodynamics is focused on entrophy which can be a measure of order/disorder within a system. There is no reason you cannot apply the physics to social systems. Unless you provide one "wink wink".

In this case entrophy can be seen as self interests. Some self interests do good some do bad. All a bit of unpredictable chaos within a system. And to get a little deeper most of existence is largely binary. 0/1 up/down left/right true/false etc... Don't need to much math to see it. The binary nature is related to the nature of the entrophy order/disorder. I think as humans(and what we are. ie not ants) there are two modes of movement. Individualism/collectivism. I see individualism as the more energy intensive entrophy that progresses human kind. Collectivism as the negative easy energy entrophy trying to stagnify a system into a collective 0/death/status quo until rebirth. I will say collectivism has had it merits in brutal force of like mindness to overthrow things, but the times it prevails can closely be associated with individualist interests working together vs the tribal nature of it. Hard to objectively prove but take it for what its worth.

If we look historically we see individual entrophy has helped progress so much and enrich lives even though things are unequal. while collectivist entrophy has helped equalize lives to misery suffering and death.

Now with this said I really wouldn't be surprised even if the last great free nation (last real discovered so fresh) doesn't fall to the easy basic entrophy of collectivism. Again historically it is part of all systems as nature with the seasons. When a system is equal/dead/inert it takes the least amount of energy to change or rebirth. However historically we are rare in we were mostly migrants of people who saw the failing systems, that burned over and over again. As humans progressed you must wonder if room or land to grow free on was not a catalyst to grow from fucked systems. Being the last will we succumb to similar history of the rest of the world. Is entrophy of our system continental or global? Is the US the last stage of growth entrophy before we sink to find the great equalizer of death.

And mono these are thoughts. Not copy and pasted opinions. I don't declare them to be right or wrong. Just thinking of shit and finding new ways to perceive the world for a better perspective. If you want to participate in the conversation and test your own theories in the realm of reason and ideas please do so. But don't be such a trivial child and do the hashtag projecting emo value bullshit, IE "look at this crap #whatever". Only idiots respond to that shit. Only an idiot will respond to the emotional response and ignore you failed to qualify your response with any reason.

You can also look it up. Even though i thought of the connection on my own it seems im far from the first. But than again no different when i thought of magnetic turbines playing with magnets. Or even a logo for a company that turned out to be almost identical to another company in another field. We live small in our heads and forget how much has already been thought of. And in our lifespan we can never absorb anywhere near the full knowledge that exists from the best and brightest 1 percenters.

But again I encourage you to think about it and offer a rebuttal based on your own thinking. Forget the insults you think bother me or whether they make you feel alpha. I cant tell you how much I dont give a shit compared to interacting with a person thinking and reasoning on their own. You think maybe I'm focused on you and probably only because you or utopian and a few sketchy others seem to be the primary responders. I think if I have your attention maybe I can get you to think independently. Help you out of your status quo view. And dont think of it as charity as others sell it. I dont give a fuck if you disagree independently as long as you have your own reason. Just have your own honest reason.

Hell the most recent thing about you acting all republicanish in stocks was the the first honest thing I think I've seen from you. I also think it's because liberal millenial types can invest in stocks while protesting wallstreet.. regardless it shows your true nature of fuck everyone but myself and family, and that is honesty that is so simple but no one will admit because its not PC.

In other words I want better responses out of you if you engage. ignore trying to bite with insults like a rabid dog. counter arguments with reason. Be more like ukit. He is probably still the only person who actually tries to have a discourse of ideas.

How a future Trump Cabinet member gave a serial sex abuser the deal of a lifetime

Palm Beach multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein, 54, was accused of assembling a large, cult-like network of underage girls — with the help of young female recruiters — to coerce into having sex acts behind the walls of his opulent waterfront mansion as often as three times a day, the Town of Palm Beach police found.

The eccentric hedge fund manager, whose friends included former President Bill Clinton, Donald Trump and Prince Andrew, was also suspected of trafficking minor girls, often from overseas, for sex parties at his other homes in Manhattan, New Mexico and the Caribbean, FBI and court records show.
