I had a conversation in Italian about this over Christmas, with some friends of my partner whilst at her hometown.
I say 'conversation in italian' but my linguistic talents in that department are still limited to barely getting what's being said and then smiling stupidly and wanly in reply, so what I mean is 'drunkenly gesticulate wild-eyed and overly scornfully as I tried to relay regret and Self-loathing on the matter'.
I think it got the point across though.
- The point being regret and Self-loathing, broheem?...

Ethereum Prices Jump in 2018; Rally Likely to Continue
http://www.nasdaq.com/article/et…
Speaking to CNBC on Monday Ethereum co-creator Steven Nerayoff spoke about the potential exponential growth prospects for Ethereum-based projects, a situation that could send the coins price spinning higher. Nerayoff told CNBC that billions of US dollars are being poured into Ethereum projects, maybe 10 times more than last year, "which could easily lead to a doubling, probably a tripling in the price by the end of the year."

“For many in the tech industry, ‘blockchain’ and ‘cryptocurrency’ are hot buzzwords, but for photographers who’ve long struggled to assert control over their work and how it’s used, these buzzwords are the keys to solving what felt like an unsolvable problem,” said Kodak CEO Jeff Clarke. “Kodak has always sought to democratize photography and make licensing fair to artists. These technologies give the photography community an innovative and easy way to do just that.”

- Is Kodak still a real company? Or is this some private equity reanimated corpse we're seeing now after their bankruptcy? Doesnt look very credible.monNom
- And aside from stating they are aware of cryptos, what are they brining to the table?
lol shitcoindorkKn1ght - the idea is not to bad actually...would be cool if kodak would make it back to the photography scene. one of the great brands, would love to see it survive.uan
- and historically it would make sense, they had their mark on the originals (film strips), now they introduce blockchain tech signed digital originals.uan
- there is real value in ituan
- Yep uanfadein11
- I guess they could buy one of the smaller smart tokens like Po.et and own it. Imho seems late to the game but on the contrary, probably have deep pockets.dorkKn1ght
- Kodak exists in name only, there is no company any more. Any cunt can pay the fee and license the name.
< Exhibit A.face_melter - And this particular cunt takes half of any earnings you make over the two years. Cool, eh?face_melter

- That's like saying to the person that invented the internet, on the day he invented it, 'if it's so good why isn't everyone using it?' lol********

If a coin is centralized or decentralized... does the noob investor in crypto care? I understand the original lure of a decentralized currency but now it seems like a get rich quick opportunity more than the fundamentals that first attracted use cases in the beginning.
- the 'noob investor' is, for the moment, more of a 'noob greedy speculator', so probably - no.detritus
- depends a bit on the objective of the coin. total Wild West environment atm though.MrAbominable
