i luv el-p's production. so this is especially dope to get a first hand look at how he approaches it and it's pretty amusing to boot.
- OB12.. so much lustautoflavour
- yeah cool piece of kit, and yet surprised at the other random gear he has, but it works for himprophetone

Anyone on here that makes more house/techno or step-sequenced beats should look at Numerology: http://five12.com/
This software works perfectly with the Novation Launchpad and essentially makes it a hardware step sequencer. It's modular in design, but can function like a regular 16 step sequencer. I've been using it for a few years and really can't recommend it enough.
- It's Mac only, but I don't think that matters here.section_014
- very very cool, might breathe new life into my sad launchpadprophetone

I'm no musician, but this is fun.
Samples recorded straight from the machines...
http://machines.hyperreal.org/sa…You can then set these up as drum machines in Ableton.

- this pic was taken moments after an extensive cooties wipedown mandatory first step w/ new used gear.prophetone
- i spent a half hour with this today just learning by exploring all the menus. i love it already. an amazing sampler.prophetone
- the sequencer is lacking apparently, need to test it, but i think my next move is midi slaving this to my MPC60prophetone
- i'm like genuinely excited to have my greasy mitts on this! why i didn't want one before is a mysteryprophetone
- think i might nab an HXC Floppy Drive Emulator for this and my MPC60 too, just bite the bulletprophetone
- man, the studio i did work experience in back when i was 15 had one of these, great sampler.kingsteven
- and has a dp/4 built in!kingsteven

@ prophetone
what's your process for cooties wipedown? I'm getting a Juno106 this week !
- nothing special, just wet wipes and a couple of cloth towels, one damp one dry and go at it.prophetone
- oh and most importantly i use a mr clean magic eraser after he initial wipe down to really remove all the scuffs etcprophetone
- if here are tonnes of rotary knobs and caps i'll pull them and toss them into super soapy hot waterprophetone
- i magic erasered my korg triton tonight as well because it was really scuffy and dirty, good as new nowprophetone
- the magic eraser is my best friend with this stuff, i don't know what chemicals it has but it makes crazy scuffs disappearprophetone
- and good luck with the juno! would love to get one myself. amazing sound.prophetone
