New MASCHINE out from NI

Doesn't really offer much more in terms of hardware to justify the price but VERY excited about the 2.0 software update (priced at £99) which introduces unlimited groups, sidechaining and a whole host of other things maschine users have been calling for.

ApeRobot. you dont need a beast to run maschine particularly if you are just using it as a sample-based workstation and going light on effects etc.
Its when you start using lots of VST instruments and effects that it'll crush your CPU.

^ That is true, but it's the same with any DAW. The more VST's you pile on the slower it gets.
Maschine probably runs faster than Ableton Live for me. It's a VERY solid and stable platform.

I played the Moog SubPhatty at Guitar Center a while back and totally want one now. It just sounded perfect.
