- First the MacBook Pro's now the iPhones. Either Apple's quality control is really worse or Foxconn is trying to sabotage them.NBQ00

Absolutely love my MacBook Pro 2018 base-model i7 2.2ghz. Even better with Mojave.
Luckily no issues with it so far in the past few weeks since I got it.

- 'So far' is the highlight of what ou just wroteBennn
- lol, I must admit the first one I got I had to return after few days due to GPU/ Kernel Panics. The new replacement is rock solid, no issues.NBQ00

Have had the Apple Watch 4 for four days, and it hasn't left my desk at home. Way too too cumbersome (+ I just wanted it for running- the 44mm is kinda heavy on the wrist).
I think I just want a Fitbit & I'll be happy.
- what about garmin forerunner 35?dorf
- Give you $50 for it.ArmandoEstrada

- I would like something small, too. In about 20 years, at this pace, it might be small enough...but they still want someone to replace a nice watch.formed
- 20 years? A lot sooner than that dude. They aren’t even that big. I don’t own one or anything, but lots of people have them and they seem normal size.monospaced
- mono, they seem like a normal size, until you're out with it. Maybe I have skinny wrists? I have a watch from Nixon and the AW is bigger than a watch I alreadynotype
- believed was huge & heavy.notype
- gotcha ... I've never worn one, but I don't have skinny wrists either ... the thickness still seems like an issue on that I agreemonospaced
- yup, haven't decreased in size yet and it's been years. I'll buy a fitness thingy when it's small enough not to be annoying.formed

- My company just threw me $100, towards my way, to buy a Fitbit! Yay! Problem Solved!notype

Apple just bought this company. Seems very promising.
But I'm sure it will be used for stupid gimmicky crap in iMessages rather than Final Cut or other more pro apps.
- Oh god. Those faux bokeh ipone shots are already riling me up, now this!Hayzilla
- Why not, for now, allow us just to crop and add filters to videos on our phones first bitches!Hayzilla
- I tried to find real world examples of their tech and to see the actual quality but nowhere to be found. Not even on Spektral's website.NBQ00
- This promo video is obviously green-screen just done to visualize the idea.NBQ00
- Senior Motion Designer job in London ~ £35k pa. With this tech coming mainstream, expect motion industry to dissolve.shapesalad
- ^ Has the Photography industry dissolved?Hayzilla
- This is not replacing vfx, motion or post production in any way. This is meant for gimmicky social media crap. Apple probably wants for iMessage, ARNBQ00
- They're probably just running into engineering issues that these guys have solved. We'll likely never know how it gets applied.zarkonite
- Yeah, this is total gimmicky crap. Perfect for Apple's current direction. Now you can put your poop emoji on your own dancing body!formed
- lol @ compositors: "It's just for messages etc. Gimicky crap!"
I recommend diversifying your skillset.cannonball1978

- This happened to me. Apple wanted to charge $1500+ to fix my MBP, with no data recovery. Local shop charged $410 and recovered all data. Like new.monospaced

Measure consistently tells me my 18" ruler is 17" long even using different surfaces and light. Rectangles on my desk are about a half inch off either direction.
- yeah ... it was a cool idea, but hardly accurate. Maybe they'll improve upon it, b because until then it's just an AR gimmickmonospaced

does have 3 to 4 kernel panics in the last month caused by the T2 chip (Bridge Os) with my Macbook Pro 2018. it does not wake up from sleep sometimes, only holding the power button for 10sec helps then.
