lol, insane. $1200 repair cost at Apple versus $0-100'ish at a third party computer repair store.
I love Apple and my MacBook Pro 2018 but yes they do have insane repair costs.

Just noticed a bunch of iOS backups on my MBP that I was clueless about.
TIP: If you're on a MBP and you're always running out of drive space check your iOS (ipad / iphone) backup files. I have a 500gig drive that was owned by about 120+ gig of iOS backups going all the way back to 2015 of which I have zero use for...
... it's like my machine is brand new again!!

There are rumors that Apple may unveil the new Apple "Cinema" Display today as well. Would be pretty nice that they'd bring back the displays. New small-bezel design and maybe 5K resolution.

For me, the new stuff has only disadvantages. As long as my old MacBook Air is still alive, I am happy with it (7 years now). The updates are all disadvantages to me:
- fingerprint login (my assistants need to operate it too)
- weight, size, battery life all the same
- no more card reader, only usb-cMaybe, it's a sign I'm getting old. But this new hardware is nothing I desire.
- TouchID is additional. You can still use the standard password typing. Also as a pro photographer you should get the new MacBook Pro's. They're great.NBQ00
