- Im not feeling these either. Sold my A4 a week before the new one was announced. Thank f*ck!microkorg
- Can you send audio over USB? These drum machines should come with an optical out to make shit easier.section_014
- The A4 and RYTM will send audio over USB to OverBridge (The plugin they are now charging for).microkorg
- Seems they're finally running out of Daniel Hansson's ideaskingsteven
- im just getting into the A4 .. really enjoying it.. but yep, its pretty much using like 10% of its powerautoflavour
- Using overbridge makes it a lot easier to use and make sounds. theres too much menu diving and fiddling about otherwisemicrokorg

Thinking about finally getting a Minilogue today. Got a promotion at work and want to treat myself to something, and have been wanting one for a while. An analog synth is the one missing piece right now and I'm excited to run one through my recently rebuilt pedalboard (not sure if you guys saw this in the guitar thread, but this is what I've got now):
I used to use an Alesis Micron but it bit the dust a few years ago. I've got a MIDI controller, use Logic, use Logic's synth sounds and the Arturia Mini V plugin, but really want a hardware synth for the hands-on simplicity.
Anyone here using one and is it still living up to it's hype and reputation?
- I don't have one, but have been looking into it more. That or the monologuefuturefood
- Let us know how it is !futurefood
- I took it back after a weekend of playing with it. I'm not nearly as competent a keys player as I am a guitarist. MIDI is far more forgiving for me to use.mg33

What apps do any of you prefer for away-from-home idea capture? I've been using Groovebox for a few weeks and it feels really good for getting down melodies, drum beats, and bass lines. Pretty intuitive and enjoyable to use.

Was given this busted up spring reverb a couple months back, just shoved some new potentiometers and a new power cable in there and it's working a treat. Chuffed at having all the shit in the house to fix it and sounds fucking immense.

Faderfox is making a custom Elektron controller series..
im not going to lie, the MX12 is giving me a huge ladyboner..its exactly what i have been wanting since getting the Octatrack..
but its so much more.. 12 channels, 2 midi out.. i can use 8 channels for the octatrack then 4 channels for the Analog4..its like they read my mind.. and then made it.
already pre-ordered..
- obviously, this is a prototype without the finished case.. but its the same dimensions as the old elektron boxesautoflavour
- FF stuff is meant to be built like a tank too.microkorg
- always loved the look of their controllerskingsteven
- funny though that they are doing it now as elektron change their shape ;)microkorg
- i guess everyone was kind of caught off guard by elektrons new format.. its not like this would have been designed and prototyped overnight..autoflavour
- its due for release next month.. so it would have been a while comingautoflavour

- Analogue?inteliboy
- theres a 101 too.microkorg
- "fart noise". Why get this over the TR-8? Have you seen the TR-09 in person? It's very small.section_014
- yeah, its kind of why i have been avoiding them .. but the TR8 is so damn ugly.. and big.. im all out of desk space, so small in this instance is goodautoflavour
- this will have a waiting list forever im sureautoflavour
- TR-8 is hideous. Looks like a 80s/90s Radio Shack Mixer.microkorg
- http://ecx.images-am…microkorg
- They've nailed the look of it and nice touches with the original styling on buttons and knobs, i've been holding off on these lil guys but getting harderprophetone
- lack of space kinda makes this paired with a TR09 a bit of a no brainer as my dreams of owning originals is out the window for nowprophetone
- how much?Miguex
- I would get this over the TR8 based on looks aloneMiguex
- I was checking out the '101' version, sh-01a recently. I imagine buying one would just make me yearn for the real thing. Save your money!futurefood
- Behringer are working on an actual sized 101 clone seemingly. they posted photos yesterday of a girl holding one.microkorg
- ^just saw it! I hope it's not a one-off and goes into productionfuturefood

just sold both my xoxboxes, kinda feel a bit nude right now..
- i have two kits that i bought 3 years ago and every month or two i say to myself "i should really build those..."prophetone
- i was imagining having two of them in the same aluminum, boxed enclosure with a panel style like http://thebeast.co.u…prophetone
- i've been soldering up things lately like my teensy board w/ audio adapter for a project so maybe when i feel confident enuff to solder some xox pcbsprophetone
- haha wow, cool! I'm getting back into soldering too, working on some guitar electrics. a xoxbox kit sounds interestingfuturefood
- reccomend any good kits? one that i had was built with really cheap components.futurefood
- recommend*!*!*!futurefood
- I'm the wrong guy to ask about kits... I own but have not built yet, the above xox's, orig Klee Sequencer kit, orig Meeblip hacker kit, WTPA v1 Sampler kitprophetone
- and i just bought a teensy 3.6 which has like 300 solder points so when not so lazy i will do it haha, but i did just do my 3.2 + audio so thats rollinprophetone
- i was thinking of getting a RAT distortion pedal clone kit at http://store.synthro… they're coolprophetone
- my XOXBOX kit pcbs are from Willzyx with a rare parts kit from australia and BOM from mouser n digikeyprophetone
- i'll check them out, thanksfuturefood

- Do you have any of the Valhalla plugins. Vintage Verb is my go to reverb. Sooo nice, and only $50.section_014
- no, to be honest I have been mainly avoiding buying plugins for a long while (or cracking them either) but I kind of just decided I'm sick of the stock abletonautoflavour
- I've been checking out Soundtoys plugins and love that Echoboy. The Effects Rack with numerous presets is pretty cool as well.mg33
- Also - the Valhalla Shimmer is absolutely worth having.mg33
