Autoflavour,
Dont sell it. You will regret it.
I had one for a few years. Like you I didnt do much with it other than doodles and have fun using it. I never really found a way to integrate it into my workflow for making music (mostly on PC using ableton live).
What it was great for was instant fun, creating sounds and doing things you'd never do with other gear. It was great for jamming on and playing along with other gear in live jams.
I took part in a few of the battles on the operator1.com site which helped me get more from the OP-1 and push myself with it to create some "finished" songs on it.
I went to sell it a few times but bottled out. Before listing it i'd play on it then realise how much fun it is.
But one time I caved and actually sold it, my OPLab and a PO-12.Made a good few extra quid on the sale from what I bought them for. They seem to have gone up massively in value over past year or two.
I sold it basically cos I wanted to buy some new gear and that's the rule in my house - if you want new stuff, sell old stuff.
If you can afford to keep it then just keep it.
Take part in the battles on operator-1.com
Just play with it an explore it.One day you'll be making a song and you'll want to mangle a sound a certain way or sequence something uniquely and remember "hey, the OP-1 does that" :)
You'll get it out, use it and thank god that you never let it go.

Selling my Analog Keys to fund some microphones if anybody in the UK or Ireland is interested. Fantastic condition, never been gigged, but I do smoke and have videos of my cat channeling Vangelis while sitting on it. £700
- Analog Keys... is that an actual brand and model?canoe
- Elektron is the brand.microkorg
- Ah, the people that made those simple rack effects? I used to set those up to my dj mixing board... before mixers came with all the fxcanoe

Has anyone used Dub Machines for Ableton? Worth the money?

- Amazing little module. So glad I got out of Eurorack before I really even got started.microkorg
- hehe, i still have mine as I built most of the modules DIY, sold off the expensive stuff. slowly adding modules that'll bring it closer to a VCS3 style suitcasekingsteven
- wold love some drums but the idea of just building general purpose when there's so many amazing modules out there is just all consuming.kingsteven
- ^^ Agree totally. Plus, idk, I'm not really in love with the sounds from this. I'd probably go for Elements from Mutable if I were after this sorta thing.section_014

Okay, so I've kept my Logic Pro dubstep alter-ego on Youtube a secret from QBN far too long. I've been making these tutorials for years as per request from friends and colleagues. I'd like to pass my knowledge on the beat producers of QBN. My channel is loaded with pro tips and insight which can be helpful whether you're a beginner or a pro like me. Here's my most recent vid. Enjoy and thx for the add!
But seriously... anyone that uses tutorials on youtube to figure things out on this subject will come across channels like this. I get drunk and make these for friends and drag them out as long as possible. If you use any DAW, I think you'd find this some what amusing.

- Have you tried Reaktor Blocks? I get some very Buchla like sounds from it. It's 95% of the way to my eurorack in everything but filters.section_014
- Yeah have Blocks but find find you need to kinda know what you are doing to create your own patches.microkorg
- I love their Vox Continental and Solina but there's something about Arturia synths... hardware and software... I just hear meh.kingsteven
- don't get me started on the drum brute... 'meh, fart, meh, parp'kingsteven
- Have heard the Buchla is pretty spot on. Some guy with an actual Easel created 50 of the presents for this release. Says its very accurate.microkorg

Want to get into Eurorack but simply don't have the funds?
Check out https://vcvrack.com/A lot of it is FREE including the Mutable Instruments modules.
Section_014 - Going to check this out - think I'd prefer it over Blocks as having the wires onscreen with the interfaces it seems a lot more experimental than having to know what you are doing with blocks.
- this is pretty radimbecile
- This looks pretty sick too. Super interested in the Mutable modules.section_014
- looks very cool, got it installed and hope to tinker soonprophetone
- I lost a day on this and forgot to report back. fan-fucking-tastic... half the good euro rack modules are digital anyways.kingsteven
- only problem was i went right in at 96khz and was getting glitches a few modules in, even noticed a few at 48khz on a 2 row patch... so, heavy on the old CPU.kingsteven

Been into this guy's channel for a bit, really good.

I've just finished a new track. Still not sure where I'm going with it all, but it's great to finally be musically productive again.
- Ianbolton0
And another experimental one. I've been collecting a few samples from films I like (this one featuring bits from Darren Aronofsky's Pi, the one below starring HAL 9000) which has allowed me to bring a bit more life into things.

- I recently got the Boutique 303 and want this next:
https://d1aeri3ty3iz…fadein11 - The styling is much nicer on the Boutique range not that it really matters though.fadein11
- 2 things.. 1/4 inch outputs and same engine inside.. but mini jack ... ughautoflavour
- Does have great functionality but looks like an 80s radioshack mixer. You can get skins for it btw.microkorg
- I LOATHE the design of this, but at half price it's a good piece of kitprophetone
- aside from the appearance (which isn't the worst i've seen) the sounds are really great out of this.futurefood
- plus, i think they let you flash different kits into this too.futurefood
- always a great example https://www.youtube.…futurefood
- still hoping to get one lolfuturefood
- it sounds great.. I would obviously prefer it not look like some out of date TRON inspired cross promotion, but can't have it allautoflavour
- also Boutique 808 and 909 is more than triple what I paid for thisautoflavour
- These are actually quite good. Good pick up. Sooo fucking bright though.section_014
- outputs really not an issue for me.fadein11
