been running 3 times a week the past 2 months.. this week I ran my first 10k.. which was more because i got lost in the forrest and just kept running until i got home..
but yep, the last 2 weeks been running 8km each time..
its amazing how easy it is once you normalise to 5k how easy 7 or 10k is.. you just keep going.- i actually ran 11k in the end.. but whats 1k between total strangers on a designer forum
autoflavour - Nice. I'm not quite at 10K yet, perhaps I'll give this 'keep going' idea a go.MrT
- yeah it was bit of a surprise for me to be honest.. i had been doing 5k for a month, and then i bumped up to 7.5/8kautoflavour
- i read somewhere if you can do 5k, you can do 10.. once you have the stamina for 5 its just a mental thingautoflavour
- and to be completely honest, it wasnt any harder per se to do 10 than 5.. just more timeautoflavour
- Absolutely auto! I've always said that, people say 'I ran for 30 mins', but the first 20/30 mins are the hardest!Hombre_Lobo
- After that your body is in running mode and you just keep going! (obviously this is jogging not intervals or sprinting)Hombre_Lobo
- when you run 3x a week what was the distance you started out @?ohhhhhsnap

I was looking to start something yoga-like and I've taken up Tai Chi over the past 3 months and I'm loving it. It started with some tuition which also included a dozen Qi Gong moves.
I was a bit cynical before - old peeps waving about in the park, how hard can it be? - but it needs a lot of leg-strength and balance and many moves require you to go as low/wide/tall etc as you can.
As well as being supremely relaxing it's really helped with mouse-arm aches, flexibility and my general posture. MrsT has noticed I'm tending less towards the grumpy old git with a stoop.
- tai chi is fun. i just have a hard time raising my leg really highscarabin
- Where do you go? Gym? Youtube?ohhhhhsnap
- Doing an evening course at local college. After 4-5 classes, you can start doing it on your own. Next step, mornings in the park...MrT

people that put "13.1 marathon" stickers on their car are really just saying they only did half of it. it's like putting a "i graduated 6th grade" sticker on your car.

Brains Sweep Themselves Clean Of Toxins During Sleep
"So why doesn't the brain do this sort of housekeeping all the time? Nedergaard thinks it's because cleaning takes a lot of energy. "It's probably not possible for the brain to both clean itself and at the same time [be] aware of the surroundings and talk and move and so on," she says."

3. Sugarcane juice is considered an alkaline forming food because of the high concentration of calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, and manganese in it. Diseases like cancer cannot survive in an alkaline environment and that’s why studies show that it is effective in fighting against cancer, especially prostate and breast cancer.
