    Per CDC data:
    0-17yo: out of 27mil infected there were 330 deaths = 1 out of 82,000
    18-49yo: out of 60mil, there were 34k deaths = 1 out of 1,800
    50-64yo: out of 20mil, there were 116k deaths = 1 out of 170
    65+: out of 12mil, 615k deaths = 1 out of 20

Stop pretending this pandemic is serious to every age group.

Nah.. a wet market, clearly it was a wet market.

There are many wet markets in China, Taiwan.. across Asia.
it's just a unfortunate coincidence that the virus started at a wet market 15km away from one of the few BSL-4 labs in Asia. Just a coincidence.

    • that's why they're called coincidences. Very unlikely events that happen to happen._niko

    6G upgrade is hereee

"Walgreens: Pfizer Covid-19 Vaccine Booster Shots Now Available Nationwide for Eligible Individuals"

  • pr2-3

    https://www.poverty-action.org/s…

    Large study involving 342k individuals.
    Who ended up with COVID?
7.62% (13,273 out of 178,288) of masked group
8.62% (13,893 out of 163,838) of control group

What's most fascinating is that masks work only in reducing the virus presence in 50+yo individuals. Anyone below 50, the reduction is not statistically significant. (pg28)

The study is yet another thorn to the side of those who sit in the own diarrhea of fear.

BTW, the study was paid for by pro-maskers, so despite the above numbers, they still conclude that mask work...

    • and "do good by saving others" is a good thing, not a bad thing.monospaced
    • it IS a good thing if the actions actually have any tangible results. the data shows that in under 50 there is NONE.pr2

    ^

“ The interventions tripled the proportion of people who wore masks correctly. Overall, in the villages where the team distributed masks, symptomatic infections were 9.3% lower. Where surgical masks were given out, the results were even better: infections dropped by 11%. Older people benefited most: symptomatic COVID-19 in people over 60 went down by 35% in the villages using surgical masks.”

Pr2 if in public and you’re in close porximity with someone with a cold, a flu or covid... and they are sniffling and coughing. Would you not prefer them to be masked up? People are filthy. Masks are just one aspect of attempting to control a pandemic.

Here in Romania, down in May, when we had the last big wave and vaccines available for all, our Gov promised to have at least 10M people vaccinated by September...

We're now at over 4M with over 9M doses administered and at wave 3? Wave 4? lost count...

Cases rising again sharply after summer vacations and weddings season (rate of 3-5 per 1000 people, depending on the region), but this time fewer deaths and most unvaccinated get it and getting hospitalised, so clearly the vaccines work very well if you get it.

Anyway, point being if you get the 5G or the 6G boost available now, you'll be just fine and continue life as usual, without any restrictions whatsoever.

For the rest - the uncleaned - winter is coming boys! Better get it before you get it!

According to the CDC (based on analyzing 600,000 cases) even with the Delta variant being vaccinated makes you:

11 times less likely to die
5 times less likely to get infected
10 times less likely to be hospitalized

    https://www.smithsonianmag.com/s…

Thinking back to all these people at the beginning of 2020 who kept saying "it's just the flu"...

Maybe this is actually a good way to explain vaccination to people who are confused by some number of "breakthrough" cases...no it's not perfect but it essentially makes COVID-19 into a less serious disease about as dangerous as the flu.

The COVID-19 pandemic triggered significant mortality increases in 2020 of a magnitude not witnessed since World War II.

    https://academic.oup.com/ije/adv…

Life expectancy at birth declined from 2019 to 2020 in 27 out of 29 countries. Males in the USA and Lithuania experienced the largest losses in life expectancy at birth during 2020 (2.2 and 1.7 years, respectively), but reductions of more than an entire year were documented in 11 countries for males and 8 among females. Reductions were mostly attributable to increased mortality above age 60 years and to official COVID-19 deaths.

Ben Garrison won't seek care in a hospital because he believes health care providers have motivation to let patients die.

"I would never go to a hospital with COVID. Robert David Steele did it a few weeks ago and they killed him. The hospitals get extra money for COVID death reports, which is necessary to keep fear ramped up," Garrison told Gizmodo.

What the fuck.... imagine believing that nurses & doctors have agreed to let patients die because their administrators told them the hospital makes more money that way.

    • jimbo, in case you didn't know the virus doesn't travel in the droplets but mostly in the mist that's being exhaled - and this the camera doesn't show.pr2
    • but if video makes you comfy, then let me know how i can send you supply of plastic bags and some duck tape to make you uber protected.pr2
    • Pr2 the all knowing expert surrounded by "dummies" why u on a design forum? shouldn't you be in your practice or lab or a medical conference of some sort?inteliboy
    • https://i.imgur.com/…utopian
    • this is FUNDAMENTAL knowledge.pr2
    • https://i.imgur.com/…i_was
    • UNSW .. that's where I teachautoflavour
    • science: covid can be suspended in aerosols. pr2: MOSTLY MIST. No, overwhelming majority from droplets in close proximity.kingsteven
    • i came to this: me teaching grown men on the internet difference in naming of various droplet sizes...pr2
    • droplets vs mist don't travel far because of their weight, mist on the other hand stays suspended in air MUCH longer. you know, physics.pr2
    • aerosols contain far less of the virus, the vast majority of covid infections come from large airborne droplets in close proximity or contact with infectedkingsteven
    • Masks = less mistmonospaced
    • also, masks will reduce the spread of aerosols from infected people. stop picking and choosing evidence that suits your narrativekingsteven
    • mist is droplets, but a smaller scale. Masks, especially n95 stop that small sized droplet being expelled. PR2 point is what exactly?shapesalad
    • social distancing stops any spread through droplets because they drop from suspension withing 6ft due to their weight.pr2
    • mask does NOT equal less mist, it's just slowed and redirected. it doesn't go in front of you but to the sides.pr2
    • ergo, you are still releasing stuff into the air. masks don't work.pr2
    • lol goldGuyFawkes
    • lol what a fucktardpango
    • you are talking research that shows that cloth masks are not as effective as n95s for droplets/coughing and claiming they don't block aerosolskingsteven
    • you would seem to have it backwards, masks are very effective at blocking asymptomatic transmission (which we can assume is aerosol)kingsteven
    • there are points to be made about the presumed infallibility of masks but the evidence very much supports that any dry fabric mask is better than nonekingsteven
    • thanks NAZI!Hayoth
    • what's "very effective" for you? under 50yo there is no difference between mask wearing/no-wear. it's effective in 50+yo reducing transmission by 5%.pr2
    • but that's about that. again maybe my standards of "very effective" differ greatly from yours.pr2
    • seems like the only person agreeing with you pr2 is the person who couldn't tell the difference between nazi and communist. lolpango
    • lol congrats you're in the idiot camp nowpango
    • So, he changed camps?palimpsest
    • It's all about risk reduction in public health policy. 75% reduction in cases with masks mandated. No big deal now here because hosp admissions down due to vax.kingsteven
    • Only a big deal in the US because your all such reactionary shitheadskingsteven
    • 75% reduction? there is ZERO support for that claim. ZERO.pr2
    • pr2 is a world-renowned virologist. He went to Gudger College, if you can believe it.FNP14
    • wowmonospaced
    • it literally shows how the masks help and he's still denying itmonospaced
    • it literally shows "something" only to the illiterate in the crowd who don't understand basic physics nor are able to read basic stats.pr2
    • I have a hard time believing you have anything beyond a shitty gradeschool understanding of physics or statistics.monospaced
    • The fact your interpretation of all of this is counter to the planet's experts should give you some sense of where you stand.monospaced
    • QBN's has it very Epidemiologist and Virologist.utopian
    • because we all know that 99% of planet's virologists and doctors agree with the status quo narrative - yeah, sure. Keep on hiding your head in the sand.pr2
    • to my great surprise the "shitty gradeschool understanding of physics or statistics" seems to be beyond most people's grasp.pr2
    • They do. It’s the status quo because they are rifht.monospaced
    • If you’re implying the actual scientific community is somehow misinformed and that every nation on the planet is in on some conspiracy, spit it outmonospaced
    • I think you just get off latching on to a fringe contrarian point of view in hopes you might be right one day.monospaced
    • scientific community is not a monolith - it's made up of individuals who agree with the status quo and almost equally as large group who disagree.pr2
    • hey number guy. you got a number on how many agree and disagree?pango
    • that would force you to read some science papers which might overheat your brain.pr2
    • yup he's got none lolpango
    • since your brain is already fried, maybe quoting science papers is not such a bad idea? you won't understand and of it anyway.pr2
    • sure sure. LOL
you sound like a child who got nothing to show.
      pango
    • still nothing?pango
